I was sent over a true working wheaten pup from Ireland, a mating from the Peter Sinead of all Ireland line, crossed with the Teago line. Even as a pup very powerful animal. The Wheatens in the 1930's were used in field trials, and are very easy to train. As game as any dog, and i'd say perfect for a lurcher line, working bigger stuff if need be. I do think somewhere in the past, bull was introduced, but the wheaten has a powerful head anyway. I was warned to give the dog plenty exercise, and build a brick kennel. How right they were if the dog got bored. I had to send this dog back to Ireland
