  1. Top quality blades at a giveaway price !
  2. Amazing work Matt, very nice indeed. Best steel. A real snip at those prices also. These will make into great knives.
  3. Thanks Matt, i'm very pleased with it. Your makers mark is fine, its just the glare of the camera.
  4. Yes Kev, i just wish the photos had been better, they just don't do it justice. It really is a great type, and knife.
  5. Here is the latest Bushcraft type knife i have. The blade is from Matt ( Midnight ), in o1 tool steel. Ivory linnen Micarta, over red fibre liners. Brass pins, made up by my mate frenchy. Razor sharp. What other type knife would you really need. I'm making the sheath for it. A very nice and practical knife indeed.
  6. Good for her Matt, its so much better when you can share interests, but i'd watch her hormone levels with a knife collection like that. If she's having an off day,- SAY NOWT .
  7. I thought the Bushcrafter would have gone first, its a very practical type knife for any jobs.
  8. Yes its a very good read, and good knives, but having said that,- from what i know now, about his steels, and quality of production, his knives and blades, i don't think you will get better than Matts (Midnight) off this site. His will stand against any of the "top" names in my opinion.

  10. Found the knives on British Blades The steel is Sheffield made SF77 High Carbon Stainless. Rc57 Seem very good knives
  11. Best off contacting the British Stickmakers Guild and asking them of any local makers, for crooks etc, but a lot of work can go into a hand made rams horn stick. I don't think the crooks on that site were worth that asking price.

  13. A few folk have mentioned losing their knife in the field. Thats your main tool in any country activity, and should have priority care at all times. If you are that worried about losing a knife ( opinal ), super glue some strips of silver paper down either side of the handle, but really you shouldn't be losing your knife.
  14. Matts Bushcraft type knives will do the lot with ease. Hold a great edge also.
  15. Great work Matt, and knives that will last a lifetime with care. Remember lads this is Matts living, not a hobby. Try not to knock him down on price, the knives / blades are worth every penny, and more to be honest. Craftsman stuff.
  16. Then thats what i'd ask for it, its worth that.
  17. http://www.highlandhorn.com/natural-shanks/9.htm On holiday just now, but to get you going i'd just buy from here when he is back. Re-your own shanks You have the chance of splitting the shanks by putting them in a boiler room to try and dry out. To be honest any shank will do, but Hazel, Blackthorn, Holly and Ash tend to prove to be the best.
  18. Now i do like that, the antler will give a good grip, and its a great design of blade
