  2. I don't know how to organize a just giving page, but if someone else does i will also chip-in.
  3. I have to tell you, it seems it was two lads poaching with lurchers, but Andy had not said anything to them, he was minding his own business.
  4. He is a real canny lad. He was ferreting in an isolated place, on his own. So he was lucky to be found so quick.

Talk of lamp shy,- try a red filter,- i did and it made a big difference,- it does not seem to scare them, and we could almost walk right up to some rabbits etc. My mate was also bringing in foxes very close on the red filter. He won't use without a filter now. Blue or green was no good, but amber good in foggy conditions.
  7. Hi Nicolas These are very nice type blades, especially the one with more belly to it,- the white one i did, you will see has more belly about 1/3rd from the point. A handy general type blade. They will make great knives. Dave

  9. When making a sheath, i leave a hole, to allow any rain or wet to escape, when being used. Just a little tip. The drill bit, is only to show you where i mean.
  10. Sorry you can't see it very well. Its 52100 bearing steel, with black palm handle. Photo of Bear ( Ralph ) with it in Ohio, USA. He rather liked it.
  11. Yes 52100 is a great steel, i had a blade of that, but sent it to a friend in USA,- it was a great knife.

  19. Its their own show to raise funds, plenty who will be there, work their ferrets. No ferret racing at this show, but they have done it.

  21. You should really keep two ferrets, they are not solitary animals. That size would be big enough though.
