    Ferreting

We have on average 40+ ferrets in at any time, and would only use Frontline now. Our vet explained it was not tested for ferrets but to use just one drop on each ferret. It works very well indeed, and works over a long time. We have never had any problem with it. Its the quickest way of getting rid of all pests and bugs.
  6. As usual,- great photos and post,- and it gets folk itching to get out again with the dogs and ferrets. This is what the site is all about. Just one hunting tip Keeps,- Turn-ups in your trousers,- very handy for the shorter legs. :11: Enjoyed your post very much.

  8. Hi Joe,- i got some new boat gear, and was not sure of either using a Blyth boat, or going out from the tyne. A few good boats leave Blyth, but its always the Tyne boats in the local fishing reports. Good fishing.
  9. I think its sorted. Thanks Mik

    SHOWS

I know from some of the photos of the show, that Lesley Fenton was judging some of the Lurchers,- she is very honest when it comes to judging the dogs, and will have put the best first,- in her opinion. It just depends on the judge on the day and what he goes for in his opinion being best.
  13. Hi Smudge,- got a beer tent sorted for ya. !!
  14. Well done Vixen, and all who made the show possible,- it seems to have been a great success. Some cracking looking dogs there.

  19. Just a service,- and it did not cost much, but can't remember just how much.
  20. http://www.alanwoodknives.co.uk/ Yes baldie Alan is Brampton way. Makes the best knives. He was going to put on a display in our Countryside Marquee at this years Wolsingham and Stanhope shows but has done his back in, so can't make it. Great Pitty that. Yes Pan,- I also like Cold Steel type, but just use the Opinel now.
  21. I never had a Opinel break on me, and i use one all the time. Perhaps a one off fault in production. At the other end of prices, is the Cold Steel,- Master Hunter. Drop point Carbon V , High Carbon steel blade. Sheath Knife. Real bargain at £65 from Attleborough Accessories. Should last a life-time.
  22. My nextdoor neighbour Ken, had a raider,- one of the best we thought. It costs very little to have it taken to 12ft lb, at a gun shop. Best to get it done properly. Where are you erb ? Milburn Rod and Gun, Milburn Road in Ashington. Is a very good shop indeed for getting repairs or service on air-rifles, and not expensive.
  23. Yes but it was not up to much. Mainly salmon poaching, and a bit of rubbish about deer poaching.
