  1. i have a new kennel being delivered today, base is already sorted because its going on the patio, bought some 'profleece' of the net for bedding. might be a bit sad but i am looking forward to putting it together tonight ............ i feel a can or two of cider and a few hours scratching my head coming on !!!!!
  2. a few of us are considering putting some birds down on a permission we have, we were going to build the pen next week and put down 50 or 100 for some sport on a day or two towards the end of the season, all to be done as a trial really for next year when we were going to do it 'properly' are we too late for this year ? any tips or advice would be great cheers
  3. i would say £200 if its in very very good / brand new condition, for a perfectly useable but 'aged' one i would say £125.
  4. nice pics, nice dogs, bet that is great fun
  5. i have a hw100 so i might be biased !!!! i have heaerd the odde rumour or two about the BSA though, i think a few have had teething problems. the hw100 is proven, you get 2 mags, plenty of shots per fill and is very very accurate only downside for meis that it is a bit of a heavyweight end of thw dayits your call, try and get hold of both and see how they feel for you
  6. i have used targetsports in bolton, uttings, cheshire gun room, can recommend all of them - taregtsports the least as they have messed a few things up, always sorted them out though
  7. cheers ben, i know it sounds mental, but i hadn't thought of locking them in and then trapping in the run, think that could be the winner !!!! i will try it tomorrow night
  8. ok, been out and baited a few of the traps, fingers crossed ! i have also put the live trap in the the chicken run with some grain baited at the back of the trap fingers crossed for the morning concrete isn't really a option, as for the rats beating up my cocker, quite possible just didn't know if anyone had ever tries a dog other than a terrier ratting, she goes crazy round the chicken pen and digs like a nutter at the holes but i have no idea what the hell would happen if a rat shot out ................. might find out soon though !!!
  9. cheers ianb i did turn the ground over a couple of days ago but they tunnelled back in already when you say a blind tunnel do you mean one with no entry holes ???? think i will try baiting up a few traps tonight and see what happens
  10. since my last post about setting fenns i have done ok, i have picked up about a dozen rats, including a couple of big uns in the live trap my problem now is this the fenns are set, see pics below, but i haven't had a thing in them for weeks, the rats are digging in under the run next to them but not using the tunnels, not sure if you can see but next to the fence on the last pick there is a entry point that was dug last night now all of that i can deal with but now look what happened !!!!! the crafty feckers have tunnelled in underneath and come up right under one of
