  1. Cracking read, thanks for posting. I jog/run mine from a quad for hillwork but have been told that too much trotting can build the 'wrong' muscles which in turn can be detrimental to sharp turning ability. In ur opinion is there a lot of truth to this? Having world in horse racing I do note we walk and canter bar the first initial few weeks trotting when they first come in from the summer break to begin fittening
  2. What a stunner!! Definitely prefer the smooth, ul have a lot of fun with that
  3. Fully agree with that, bird. We breed odd litter of pure whippets and make sure all are bold as but hear what ur saying as pointer is definitely highly strung n sensitive!
  4. Thanks, tbh I've had little personal experience with gun dog breeds. I take my lurchers beating, tho admit some drives they're on lead round the cliffs etc or if there's a lot of ground game likely. At least until its running out of the drive :-P
  5. Hi all, I've just joined having been advised I can get some decent advice/info here. I run a few lurchers bull x and saluki and do fair bit of beating too...... Have been given a pointer (gsp) bitch and considering putting my kc working whippet over her at some point in the future. Does anyone have a pointer x, do u rate them? and basically putting out feelers to see if there would be a market for pups? Cheers!
