  1. Hello I put this question to Deben and the reply was that you can use a mk2 collar with both mk1 and mk 3 finders but will not get very accurate results. You cannot use other collars with a mk2 finder colin
  2. deffo Ferretone is definately the way ahead and its good for the ferrets as well col

Why don't you go to the nearest waste disposal place and get some golf clubs. I got a load for a quid each, used my angle grinder to take the heads off and leave a point. then trim the rubber handles to whatever length you want. very light and strong and cheap Work a treat on my quickset colin

Got a mk2 and it has worked brill for the last 2 years, had it out last week and still great. I know they have had loads of probs, maybe I got the one that worked. Batts in the collars don't last as long as mk1 and 3 but as yet I have had no probs. I presume that the batts in the collars were good and the collars are ok. No magnetic switch, can't Ive seen one on any locator colin
  5. I have a mk 2 ferret finder that has produced excellent results over the last year, even if I do have to replace the batteries every other trip. Does anybody know if it will pick up MK 1 and MK3 collars, I have now got another 2 ferrets so have to get some more collars so if it is compatible with the other MKs then I will not have to be so fussy which ones I buy. Soon be time to be back out there, 5 ferrets, 2 dogs and a selection nets, lovely regards cojda
  6. I bought some old golf clubs for £1 each and using my grinder cut the heads off and left them in a point, the rubber grips I cut and left an inch at the top. They are cheap, lightweight and very strong. Will try and post some pics after the first trip out. cojda
