  1. Yes 3/4 bred. He's gone through a phase of not listening but is coming good now. He's definitely got his own thinking out in the field and knows where he wants to go.

  3. I've got the same sort of thing. Constantly winding up the older dogs wanting to move all the time I've found he's really come on by taking him out alone. Good as gold with dogs he doesn't know though.

  7. I've got a three quarters bred only still a pup at 8 months but has been ferreting a few times and starting to catch on.Great nose and has begun to mark properly,he can certainly move and can jump for England which is a struggle to prevent him overdoing himself.
  8. It could have been a female sparr or a buzzard, what shape was the tail. Buzzards have the fanned tail, sparrow hawks have more of a wedge.Buzzard are opportunists and will drop onto rabbits or pheasant from high branches.

  13. I've got a 1/4 bull 3/4 whippet pup at 7 months old and so far is proving to be biddable and tough but with a decent level of speed.Mine doesn't seem to feel the cold to much and would go all day if I let him.
  14. My pup coming up to 7 months old.Doing well, great with ferrets, dogs and livestock. He's just started to jump higher and is sensible and steady the few times he's been ferreting.
  15. I use my collieXspringer at the minute but I've got a whippet type pup that I'll use when he's ready. The springer collie is a great marker and net holder he'll also catch the occasional bolter.
