    One day Rats could be our only quarry , And Kieth " well " He will carry on as usual an enjoy his sport. .To knock someone and judge them for their choice of quarry.......quite sad in itself. .But to then demean them further an class them beneath ourselves. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .The times ahead of us will probably be a struggle.

    In total six terriers stayed in Meath,4black 2 red , there was a kizzy puppy out of a rough black bitch also called kizzy. The red bitch in the picture with Paccy I gave to pat the farmer in pup to a red dog of mine. Two black dogs went to the keeper at Slane (Scottish). Two did go to Paccy about the time the keeper hit problems, an the chain was broke. . .

    When Tilly and I went over, we had an old green maestro van..no tax,mot, insurance an a tank of cherry. Enough money for the ticket and 40 pounds spends between the two of us to last four days. Anyway , the pair of us were well exited and thick as shit.... Got on the wrong boat went to the wrong port . Took a whole day making our way into Dublin an out again . Our only way point was Navan , but we met up with the keeper in the end after a 19hr trip.

    Keepers cottage. First night me Tilly an Paccy went lamping on the tractor, keeper was to drunk to come. . He ended up getting himself a lurcher,Black merle Hancock dog, Smoker.

    Here's one with all of us, Paccy on the banjo . Pat, with his back to the camera come from the other side of the bog from NM,s He was a farmer who sourced most of the ground off the estate.. Fatman, NM was the keeper from mountains town. It brought a lump in my throat when Niel C told me he died , as we lost contact . Meta good few others but Paccy was always around, and stood out in the crowd.

    Tilly's dog "Black"......."Farm" bred , do you remember the dog A.T. The lurcher is one of the better foxing bitches I've seen.

    Did you ever dig with NM fat man, some of the best terrier work I've had was in Meath . Paccy was no , one quarry hunter and neither were his dogs , Though he might have had a preference.

    More of a tribute to Freinds I've dug with over the years that were true terrierman by any measure . That are sadly no longer with us . My digging buddy was a scouser ,Tilly. Told me he lived on a "Farm". Some farm!!!! Some of you might recognise him in the middle..

Paccy put me at the hospital on this day, nearly breaking me leg with the digging bar. We passed a few dogs your way , pepper the red bitch in the pic went to Paccy.     Thousands of people marched shoulder to shoulder at the London rally's, why? ..... To stand up for our rights as responsible workers of terriers. I have no shame of my chosen sport and I am not a cruel man. And I won't put my tail between my legs in order to hide from misguided antis. All about choice really, I'd rather live a day as a lion than a lifetime as a lamb.

    I originally came on this hunting forum for nose, not being a sociable man, maybe the odd show. How refreshing it is to see so many like minded men with good values concerning terriers. So I put some pics up to share with like minded men. Never been a camera carrier myself, but have hunted with people who did. It bring s back good an bad times, as the day it happened.
