  3. thanks lads he is sixteen months old now. not seen any thing but hates the sight of cats . all mate wanted was a service and could have sold this dog no problem .fair play as work is fairly slack here at this time. cheers macker
  4. a mate of mine that knew i had no terrier this season to start dropped this dog up to me fair play to him. have a feeling he will do the job and has settled in well.
  5. . thats one of the best replys yet.
  6. going to be doing a fair bit more with the hounds this year. so with a bit of luck we will meet up. before that day i was starting to think the pure preds where not what they used to be. good to see some lads still willing to give it a go with them.
  7. looking good roan. i believe it was a great day as i was there too. seen a few of those pics on the camera when walking back to the car. might see you next time up there if its sorted out with my mates hounds. good to see some of the pure breds with plenty of fire in their belly. tought the bitch would of killed it on her own.but as you said it was her first say the chap was more than happy with her. liked the dog alot . a grand bit of stew back at the house which just toped the day off. all the best macker
  8. was a bit of crack last night really think one of us is going to get a big one there soon. if you need any more tips for the next sesion dont be afraid to ask . next time we will try that other spot on lake with some bigger ones hopefully. with alot of the of the old spots fished out. nice to have a good day. thanks for the day out macker
  9. same in dublin alot of people out of work in building trade nearly half of the people in know are out of work. as frank says plenty of pole comming in here to ire. honestly believe every goverment just wants to make all the employers richer and richer with cheap labour.with some of the people with high mortages on a big struggle.not a fish left in our waters either

  15. great topic to start whitser. have to say i agree with pip on everything so far. a few years ago we had two top class terriers between us and dug to them three times a week. bred them together and every one where usless. not even looking like either parent. but i do think some people get caught up in their own lines of dogs breeding off bad bitchs just because they are related in some way. and are not willing to go outside their yard. breeding off a long line of workers is the only way to go i think but.even tough some of the best ones i have seen have been once offs in a line. m
  16. some great spots up that way. hunt a fair bit not too far from that area. thing is with the towns getting bigger alot of places getting shot to bits. and find you have to go futher into the county the get the right spots. if you are going out with some local lads you will have plenty of fun as i know the area well. all the best macker

  24. one of them is doing very well. on most game the other one not so well. a bit hot and cold gave him to my friend who has no interest in foxes for free rather than sell him on. was hard to let him go as he was better made for the job and i tought he would be the better of the two. all the best macker
