  2. thanks bog road lamper. got the dog in fermanagh lurcher to lurcher father irish terrier greyhound.cross deerhond mother just lurcher to lucher with plenty of terrier in her. good to see you back on trev. macker
  3. well no offence but i find it hard to trust any man who is into hunting living in munster in a town and cant find a fox and in your other post looking for a rabbit.just get out and give it a go macker
  4. can be hard keeping a lurcher retrieving if you like bushing too. i love bushing always will do. i find lurchers will still retrieve on lamp but not in day with terriers about. need my lurchers to watch terriers for fox. and great crack watching lurchers and terriers bushing. even just for a laugh. macker
  5. all i can say is munster is full of hunting lads no matter what town you live in .i can quarrantee there is plenty of lads working their dogs. your just not looking hard enough.

  11. just doing ditch work kevin both days. funny enough all old foxes 5 dogs 2 vixens since thursday. kieth was ment to follow us but did not get out till late. met us for tea after but. macker
  12. try to open it up and check the wires that lead to the board from the battery have fixed a few boxes over the years and found a few with a falty wire or joint at the board from the wire that comes from the battery to the board the one that goes under speaker especially. worth a go. macker
  13. kevin seems to be a fair few about the place got another four today. and back at yard for half two. lurcher had her work cut out today for sure. say you lads have a heap of them this year. atb macker

  17. that maybe true i am a bit blind. but lets face it if the dog is good enough he will get there. tried one for a while and i think if you keep lamp either side of bunny rather than straight on it you will get a few more runs. i dont see the point of lamping further than you are willing to slip on. each to their own i suppose. how is your bitch rynard hunter macker

  20. this is the mother and pup i was telling you about. think bitch is not too bad for ten year old. pup who i think is a bit light but will alot better soon
  21. whitser got one with the red lads terrier. and two different digs to wetdogs terrier. both did grand. wetdogs was a good handy day seems to be plenty in that area. talk soon macker

  23. was out today with a couple of lads off this site. got three handy enough digs first one for my lurcher pup who is already spot on marking holes and working lamp.very happy with how quick he is learning his trade. first earth a nice dog and then second earth a longish type rabbit earth with dog and vixen at either end of it. terrier had to dig for nearly an hour to meet fox and did very well to see it through. good crack with decent lads hunting in ireland
  24. if you ask me i think filters are only dimming over powered lights. as win said being cunning with the lamp is most important. some of the biggest catches where before these filters where invented and lights where not as strong either. just something i think about. macker
