  1. I love .22, I really do, but if you know .177, stick to it. Sean
  2. I got 10 FTT'S to stack, by inverting my signature biro pellet holder and CAREFULLY lifting the biro off the pellet stack Sean
  3. Okay, thanks lads, ive settled with FTT or barracuda extreme hunter, i know there chalk and cheese pellets, but my barrel seems to love 5.52mm pellets. I'm getting 5P groups with both at 30 yards. She seems to really love the barracuda extreme, and seems to use less air per shot with them, or is that just me being hopeful? Sean
  4. Bit of a daft question, what pellets do peoples HW100's like best Sean
  5. I started in .177, soon saw the light! .22 os nice, but .20 is simply the best. End of My missus swears by her air arms S400 in .177, ive recently got rid of my springers (4 of them, half and half .22 and .20) ive just got my HW100KT in .22, only because I couldn't get a .20 in a reasonable timeframe. When funds allow I will be ordering a .20 HW100. .177 is a brilliant target shooting round but for hunting i prefer the smack of the bigger rounds. Sean
  6. Why not look at the nikosterling range (I think that's how it is spelt) the niteater is a 44mm objective and ita a really beautiful scope and gathers the light really nicely , its light too with side focus, mine was £129 brand new Sean
  7. I have a brace of SMK B3's which are a giggle at the best of times. A crossman 2240 which is nuts (ive hit 35mm HFT kills at 25 yards with it) Finally my gammo p24 blowback, which I'm thinking to sell as I dont use it as much and really fancy a ooking great revolver Sean
  8. In regards to an earlier post, the HW57 is as accurate as the other HW springers, but with an odd loading system. Rather than a sliding breach, its breach is a pop up piece of steel with a .22 hole in it. I loved mine and regret selling it. They are similar price to a 99s Sean
  9. I would use linseed oil, walnut oil (Asda or tescos is as good for that as anywhere) or tu-oil personally my wood working ususually just gets multiple coats of linseed oil, the only issue I find is it needs to be kept up to keep it at its best. But I just added that to my post shoot cleaning. Sean
  10. My first was a ruger blackhawk, utterly wonderful for the price bracket, came with a 4x32 scope with a duplex retical, got my most memorable shot with it too. Sean
  11. Throw a tent peg so it lands stood in the ground then try and hit the top curve standing unsupported? Set rows of 5 matchsticks, starting at Say, 15 yards, every time you hit all five I'm succession move them back a yard, (with my last rifle, a HW57, I could do is to 30 yards) Get someone else to set some targets in random (but safe) places, then walk the course they set, standing only again! Just a few thoughts Sean
  12. Mine has to be the HW100KT for a sub 12 If I was going FAC air I would go with an air wolf or ranger Sean
  13. So, the best idea seems to be set a high chair against a tree and shoot down into the fields? In the .22 rimfire family, which tend to ricochet least? Sorry for the daft questions! Sean
  14. I MUST get out of air rifle brain when talking about full bore! Seab
