  3. When Daystates Parent company Dianna starts to feel the pinch then you will start to see a different attitude, as it is at the moment things are going nicely, fingers in so many pies that on paper at least are making a healthy profit. So as long as it has enough air rifle junkies to feed it will stay as it is. All one has to do is repudiate any negative criticism for long enough and pay so many in the Air Rifle Press and Community to praise your product and Bobs your Uncle. And yes more than likely most are satisfied with their product, that is fine and good to know but not the point, it is

  6. Very enjoyable post, thank you Simon. As to old school, nothing wrong with it, too many people have gotten into the habit of throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
  7. At the end of the day it all comes down to confidence, no matter how often one is told about how good this or that air rifle is, without the shooter having the confidence in his or hers ability behind any rifle things will not turn out well. Trust in ones own ability will spill over onto any air rifle, it will also show itself with abundance with lets say the better made air rifles. That is just my way of thinking.
  8. Certificates and competence do not go hand in hand, some good doctors and some bad, both more or less have the same qualification. NVQ, National Vocational Qualifications are given out like confetti, we called them, Not Very Quick's, one cannot fail an NVQ, the more a training company passes the more money there is to be had. All one has to do is drive on any road in the UK and you will see that having something like the old paper and now plastic driving license that says you can drive competently is all just a load of bullshit. Certificates or Qualifications now days I am sorry to say
