The BSA Scorpion SE Is also more than worth looking at for my money. As Rez said plenty to choose from, second hand and new in all price ranges, some good bargains to be had if not in a hurry, and if one takes ones time looking. Good luck. All the best

For me it has nothing to do with being better over Forty Yards and beyond. It is about the one that will feel more comfortable for me to shoot, if I go for the BSA and it is as bad as some say it can always be improved later on. It is all about me being able to shoot a Spring Air Rifle again. All the best

Can just about manage 3kg / 6.6lb plus scope with the way my hands and arms are at the moment Rez, and around the price that both are "two reasonable nights out with the wife in London" it is worth it to just be able to shoot a springer again.

Ha. The 97 is just fine, having a break. LGU's gone back to the owner. Imps planning its next foray soon. Just cant get over how light it is... but delevery plenty of whack. Also not bad out of the box Rez, Weighs the same as the BSA Lightning XL and XL SE, 3kg / 6.6lb without scope. Now that the Lightning is made in the UK again, seriously looking at that and the HW99. Think the HW99 can be had in .177 - .20 - .22 and .25

Well done Rez. Always good to surpass ones self, gives expectations for it to be repeated over and over and then surpassed again. Love or is it lust? is a funny thing when given to inanimate objects such as Air Rifles. Just wonder how the 97 will take two new members to the Secret Harem, LGU and Imp. More to the point how good is your wife with a Frying Pan? Keep safe and practise your ducking. All the best

If there is anyone out there that had no idea of what a properly placed standard foot pound lead pellet within it's killing range will do to a rabbit, then should not be out taking shots at them with an Air Rifle. I will not say anything against the Fieldsports Channel, it is everyone's choice to view it or not. One Mary Whitehouse was more than enough. All the best

Do not have mountains where I am but plenty of dead things that did not stop at the Big Red Light Sorry to say. Stay Safe.
