We are talking Daystate group here so it is unlikely they will know or be bothered to get the information for you. You could email Tony Belas at Daystate / MTC and if he can work out how to turn the computer on he could help if after switching on the computer, he remebers why you emailed in the first place.............. When I read these posts on nice springers, I keep thinking about another for range shooting as they are just too heavy for this 72 year old to carry around but it does make me miss my TX200. Typical really, plenty of time but not money................................. bugger. Phil

PIANOMAN'S NEW EYESIGHT. BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE.
philpot replied to pianoman's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I had double cataract surgery Simon but not what you had by the sound of it and I do agree the difference I felt with the new lenses in was amazing, being able to see sharp cross hairs was a blessing. I remember the session you, Jimmy, Ethan and myself had in your garden was good fun but also showed me how bloody rubbish I was with that new TX200 I bought having watch you drop 4 pellets on top of eachother. I must say however after 'Charlie Caller' tuned it for me, even I was able to produce tight clover leaf groups and I do regret selling it. It would be good to get together again -
I see you have not lost your sense of humour Simon......................................God bless Tony Belas

Following on from that Simon, if we take the FX Impact which I had and loved, you can buy 'extras' to make it look more like a military gun from companies like Saber and others. This to my mind is like putting go faster stickers on a car, well at 17 or 18 years old is perhaps something we go through but for god's sake, grown men spending hard earned cash on feckin rubbish to make their gun look more tactical is insane and rather immature to say the least. Sorry if this offends but I agree tactical air guns is NOT the way forward in my eyes. Phil

Really nice to see you back on here Simon. Phil

Have a look at ANTS SUPPLIES as they have different rails to fit over various gun rails along with different scope fittings. A good bloke and very helpful. Phil

I am not familiar with Aguila at all but I suggest contacting Forest Lodge Guns, in Wragby, nr Market Rasen, Lincs and speek to the owner Matt as they specialize in firearms rather than shotguns and air rifles although they do sell them of course. Matt really knows his stuff when it comes to firearms and they have a good selection of rimfire and centre fire rounds. Gun shop | Wragby | Forest Lodge Guns WWW.FORESTLODGEGUNSWRAGBY.CO.UK Forest Lodge Guns has been a trusted gun shop in Wragby since 1987. Browse and purchase online or in store. Call n

To be honest I dont know as I didn't pay for them, I was in credit at the rfd so took little notice. I should have said that the mainstay of the orders now in the UK of Hornady rimfire are hmr but wmr are in at both my normal rfd shops.

I used to own a Rapid .22 fac but I don't think I would go that route now but thanks for the heads up on that.

I applied for a variation on my firearms ticket to allow me to buy a .25 fac air rifle which as some of you know I have really missed having in my hunting life and whilst my .22 fac Wildcat is a great gun, I NEED a .25 again. Well my ticket came through on Saturday so I am ready to go and buy one other than the win on the lotto that would be quite helpful , it is in my mind to move on my Tikka .22lr and my Sako Quad hmr / wmr because the .25 will be totally fed on slugs (not the slimy ones) so I am not so sure I need the rimfire rifles now. A trip to Pickering Guns is on the cards soon.

For the first time today I tested an A-Tec mod and was quite surprised how good it was, I tested both a Weihrauch mod and the A-Tec and both were pretty well equal but the A-Tec is cheaper, well worth looking at. Phil

I didn't know they even made one.

There is a guy on 'Airgun forum' who can fit a reg to an AA 410 but I believe it is not easy or contact Phil Crampton at Ratworks to discuss what can be done. You say you want the guns 'turning' I am guessing a slight typo there and mean't Tuned, if so again Ratworks is a very good place to start as he does a lot of work with the R10 guns. Phil

A bit out of order pal, we have some sound advice passed over on this forum and in a number of cases, meet up for both social and help.

I do recall Mark Williams saying that he used a spray on his mags Jimmy to keep them running well and ensuring the pellet passed into the chamber correctly. I am sorry to say I don't remember what the spray was but I am pretty sure it was not a silicone spray or a normal oil and I think it begins with B, sorry Jimmy, send Mark a message. Phil

Sorry that should be £60 - £90 per gun

Now then Si, both Jimmy and myself have tried to get hold of you, have you changed your mobile number, a bit concerned we can't reach you mate. Give one of us a call to let us know you are okay. Phil

I was talking to a friend of mine a few weeks ago who is into 'airsoft' shooting and he showed me his latest creation in terms of stock paint treatment. I was well impressed so I got him a couple of old stocks that were lying about for him to paint them with his design using an airbrush and one hand painted. I know he has done a few guns for other people and was happy for me to post on here for you guys to see. If anyone is interested in having their gun stocks painted by him, I will put you in touch as I am not involved at all but I believe he would charge about £60 - 70.

That looks a nice spot for the pike mind you it has been a very strange year for piking, so much rain knocking temperatures all over the place and it seems to have had a big effect on the fish. Phil

As I understand it, my rfd said they can order as much as they sensibley want, no real restrictions but the supplies are only just starting to come through. I bought 200 yesterday as I dont use too much of the round. Phil
-
In my rfd yesterday when a delivery arrived of V Max, he told me that there is over one million rounds arrived in the UK a couple of days ago so you should be able to get some pretty soon. Phil

Just sent over photos and got a price, Nath has a very good rep so he will get the job when I have just sorted a small issue found today. Thanks Mitch. Phil

I have just done a thread on Rimfire, centrefire and shotgun section but I will jsy bring it up here as well, I have just bought another shotgun which has no chequering on either the stock grip or the forend so I was thinking about stippling the stock which looks good and works very well but no idea how to do it or perhaps use some form of gripper tape although the floor grip tape is a bit too aggressive. Any ideas would be gratefully accepted guys. Phil

I picked up a Miroku MK38 trap gun the other day for a super super super cheap price, the gun is old but in very good condition, fitted with a comb raiser that needs refinishing, easy job but the stock grip and forend has no chequering at all. I took it out to a close perm to try it out on a few woodies and clays with a trap I keep on the perm, all okay but the grip is lacking so what the hell to do. Chequering I think is going to be pretty expensive which on a gun that I paid £100 for is a bit silly. Stippling looks very good and offers good grip but I have never tried it so not sure ho
