  1. Never actually seen one let alone used or owned one BUT I have only heard good things about these guns. I will be very interested to see how you get on with it. Phil
  2. I will see if the rfd can get HC to send one to test Mitch. I was not saying anything to contradict your friends view of the XLK small, just repeating what the guy said. I did want to try the small Xlk but so far the rfd just hasn't bothered to get one in. Must give them a call tomorrow but I did pop in today and picked up the Wildcat Cub mod to try on my Wildcat but it's not quite as good as the SAK but nicely built however it will be going back as not much point in keeping yet another mod that won't be used. Phil
  3. Here we go Jimmy, you judge for yourself but I am sure it will appeal to the supreme tackle tart out there BUT if your school of thought is anything like mine, you will think the same as me and Mitch of course. Phil
  4. I don't think so Mitch as I explained that it was for an FX Airgun .22 fac and then he told me about the small version XLK mod not being suitable for fac. One point that made me giggle to myself was the fact that he said that HC do not support the mods being used on FX guns and the fact that it may not work or be broken, I did ask if he was having a laugh. I also asked if they did a .25 version of the XLK large size for my Impact and he asked why would Weihraugh make a .25 mod when they don't make a .25 gun....................................I had no answer that didn't involve telling him h
  5. I know when I spoke to Hull Cartridge about the XLK mods, they said the small version is NOT fac rated and the large version worked well on my test but was it £110 better than the SAK that was sat in the cabinet costing me not a penny although I do confess the tackle tart in me says the XLK looks better than the SAK but then again so does the Belitta so it shows you cannot go by looks................... Phil
  6. I take it your Dreamline is sub12.
  7. I told you to slow down on the booze after the strokes you bugger but you clearly were pissed here Jimmy. ?? Phil
  8. Is Carl still operating as I have not heard anyone speak of him on the other forums but if he is, it's never a quick job running into many many weeks and even months were reported at one time. Everyone says if you can wait, his work is second to none. There is also AGR Tuning in Spalding, Lincs who is a good bloke and did some work for me on my Impact, His name is Tony, tel 07847 485 993 Phil
  9. Yes they do Mitch and for me it is just curiosity because I cannot get my head around people spending so much on utter shite. The SAK which is on my Wildcat is not bad it's just trying to improve things a little when I am using it around the dairy farm perm and I did test HW XLK (large) and that is just a touch better but the XLK (small) is not rated for fac so I didn't bother getting one in for test. I hope to pop in to the rfd today and look through a box of Wildcat mods as I have Panthers on my two rimfire which are superb but as reflex mods, they won't go over the shroud but I think
  10. On the fac it is nowhere near as good as the SAK but I might pop it on the P35 sub 12, there again it may go on Airgun Forum to sell. For a test, I did try to remove the end cap using long nosed pliers as it has two holes which a special tool must fit however I could not move it so simply held the Belitta in position, I know I know it is not a fair test but it gave me a good idea how effective the Belitta is. Phil
  11. Yes fair comment Mitch and I am not going to throw £130 - 200 on a Donny FL despite the hype, I am however curious and would love to try one even if it is only to confirm they are shit. One of the groups on fb also raves on about how good they are but after seeing on youtube 'how good' the new Fat Boy mod is..............aluminium spool, a strip of fine steel mesh taped on the spool with a strip of felt material wrapped around the mesh and again taped on.............................high tech or what and worth the £210 price tag. It is worth saying that I did a dry fire test of a Donny on
  12. Thanks Jason for the hugget style chart, I need the female 1/2'' flat so need to find out if the threaded end can be swapped which will depend if it is possible to buy an end threaded section. Phil
  13. I know you and others Mitch don't rate the Donny mods but watching the recent youtube of Ted's Holdover who was saying how good the Donnt Tatsu mod was to the point that he uses them on all his guns and I know he can be flippant but I tend to accept what he says. Donny Fl Tatsu Airgun Silencers - Bagnall and Kirkwood BAGNALLANDKIRKWOOD.CO.UK Tatsu or “Dragon” will be a great addition for shooters who need to take the bark out of their gun yet keep the overall length short. This is a smaller version of the... Phil
  14. To be honest I did not buy the mod Mitch and have no previous knowledge of Hugget kit, in fact I think it was in a box of bits I picked up at the rfd. The SAK mod on the Wildcat is not good so I thought that if I can vamp this one, it may be better than the SAK. There is no model name unless 'THE HUGGET' is the name which is what is shown in the photo. It doesn't fit the shroud Jimmy as the Wildcat has a 1/2'' unf threaded end cap. My old Impact has a M20 thread for which I still have an A&M mod sat in the drawer.
  15. Some time ago, I picked up a hugget mod, not sure why or where from but it has never been used by me however I thought it might be ideal for the Wildcat fac but the thread looks to be possibly an M25 external thread. Does anyone know if it is possible to get another insert to convert to a standard 1/2 unf to fit most guns or even a converter to fit this thread down to 1/2unf. Phil
  16. I remember when my son came home in a Lotus Esclat (I think) and said I should give it a whizz round , well I didn't need asking twice, hot sunny day driving one of these, winner winner. It started to slightly rain while we were out so my son clipped on the roof, when we got back home and tried to get out, I then realized the right hand side arm rest was in fact the fcuking car sill !!!!! Yes you have guessed, my family were in stitches as I had to sort of part roll and part slither out of the bloody thing fully laid out in the drive to be free of this little sports car................
  17. Typical........................ I never even said anything, I must admit talking to an old (well older than me) lady the other day at our village co op as she had one of these electric 3 wheel scooters with a nice sized boot to say nothing of the chunky wheels............................................hmmm, well perhaps the future doesn't look to bad, I need to sweet talk her and borrow it to see how good it is on grassy slopes. ? Phil
  18. Amazing, the lens didn't crack, obviously that camera doesn't use MTC lenses ? Phil
  19. Sorry to hear that you have no perms available Jake, we do well because we live in a rural village and know a lot of farmers so word of mouth get us plenty of perms. It is a pity you are so far away as I could pass on a couple, not brilliant but better than nothing and we don't bother with them. I woke up at 4.15 this morning and we have a white out, bloody snowing and 3 degrees. I know I said we were going out tonight on the ferals in the barns but believe me, it is VERY unlikely, oh lovely, just started to snow again.....................? Phil
  20. Got a maggie on Sunday afternoon along with 14 feral pigeon but the maggie gave me greater satisfaction I must confess. Phil
  21. Are you putting out the hide each time you go or leaving it pegged down. The reason I asked is that I found for pigeon, crow, in fact any ambush, I have always done better if the hide is up for a few days to let the quarry get used to it being there. When shooting crows as they are very shy birds, we would put up the hide, leave it for at least two days, then shoot one day and leave it for another couple of days. I did this over the course of about 2 weeks and it worked a treat. Phil
  22. Thank you for asking Bernard, my wife is still testing poitive as of this morning but so far I am still clear. We should be in Anglesey this week but managed to defer the hotel booking until next week but I think I am going to put it back for a few more weeks just in case things go on longer or I pick it up. Phil
  23. I am just sat here looking out at some very cold wintery weather with fallen temperatures and rain thinking to myself what is going on, we had some stunning sunny days and as my wife has got covid, it allowed us both, with space between, to sit outside and enjoy the days but I tell you what, I am really having trouble getting my arse into gear and go shooting at night. I bought the new 007v and so far used it once...................come on you muppet get out there.....................................hmmm Now I have been out a few times on the pigeon with my new shotgun and really enjoyed
