  1. I stumbled across this vid which left me quite gob smacked. To be able to kill wild hogs with an air rifle, okay I'm sure it will be an FAC being in the US but nevertheless a .22 air rifle shooting an animal of this size is impressive. Phil
  2. I bet it will be around a grand or perhaps not if they want to compete with the FX Wildcat as they seem to be able to sell all the stock very quickly at £899. One RFD told me that he has an ongoing order list as the demand outstrips the supply. What a good position for ASI to be in. Phil
  3. I have just watched a couple of his vids and you have to admit the US hunters have some amazing places to shoot. An old business contact of mine in the states told me that you do not need permission to shoot the woods/forests and large amounts of land, likewise very few fishing permits are required to fish the lakes and rivers.................lucky b4stards. The FAC really hits hard, no kicking or frantic jumps, just dead quarry. Phil
  4. The longer version looks better.
  5. I like the HW mod but it looks as though your face is on a none face friendly metal area which is a shame in my book and to be honest the cocking lever is too far back. If I wanted a Bullpup type of gun, I would go for the FX Wildcat which has the cocking lever in the right place and although a metal comb, it remains quite comfortable when I shouldered it in the shop. Phil
  6. Ah, okay, I'm not so switched on to these things, just going on the info passed onto me from the company I used. Phil
  7. I will keep my finger crossed that the spare I have on its way to me can be used in that way.. Phil
  8. I had a kayak collected (12' 4'') by a courier and the guy in Wales I sold it to had also booked the day off. It did not arrive so when I spoke to the courier, they said they had misplaced it and had no idea where it was.......................A TWELVE FOOT KAYAK for god's sake. Three days later they found it in Scotland !!!!!!!! I was lucky the buyer was okay with it as he knew it was not my fault. One thing with these couriers which I didn't know at the time was that if the parcel was lost or damaged, their insurance pays out to a maximum of £250 which would not cover my kayak or most
  9. I bought one of these, superb for pellet testing and to zero the scope. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BENCH-REST-VICE-Air-Rifle-Gun-Shooting-Cleaning-Zeroing-Zero-Aiming-Airgun-BRSR-/351223253096?hash=item51c6898868:g:m~cAAOSwYshUY3Jz Phil
  10. Camo trousers, camo t-shirt. I have a good Jack Pike jacket but need to get some more trousers, just keep on looking in local shops but nothing I like. I have found out that there are two airsoft shops opened not too far from me and they do camo gear and gillie suits so when time allows, I will be taking a trip to look. Most of the gear you were giving away, would have gone to my son in law as he is just starting out but never mind. To be honest Mac, I think I need to get Jack Pike trousers so the design matches the jacket. I bought a camo ultralight mesh suit including head cover a couple
  11. Am I right in thinking that all HW100 air cylinders that are factory made, can be removed from the gun and not lose the air that is still in them. In other words do they all have the valve system in them. Phil
  12. What a bugger, normally I log on in the morning, today I have been out all day so missed out. I will just continue to swear to myself. Very nice gesture Mac, good on her mate. I will keep an eye open when you clear the man cave. Phil
  13. Someone has pinched your magpie photo Mark. Phil
  14. The T20 ebay torch is a cracking price when you consider what you get in the package. Phil
  15. I bought two tins of FAP .177 from Country Way Gunshop including delivery next day for £18.99, £8.50 each and £1.99 for delivery which I don't think is too bad. Phil
  16. XTX AIR did the reg and tune ,but what i should of done , got Carl to do the whole lot would of been about £100 cheaper , live and learn This is what Carl said on another post To do a full tune to a ultra SE that is fitting a regulator fitting a larger air cylinder replacing the complete hammer system replacing the hammer spring guide doing other work recrowning the barrel porting the barrel throat and fitting a shroud silencer in anodized black alluminium is £180 i also do full carbon fibre shroud silencers in gloss or matt these on there own are £75 but if i do the full tune i d
  17. You zipped another post in before I posted my smileys Mac. I would normally use plain paper / card but the targets were the first thing I picked up and it was so cold, I had no intention of staying out long. Phil
  18. It looks fantastic Mitch, forgive me for asking but what was the total spend, £125 for shroud and cylinder and what for the reg and tune and did you have Carl do the reg/tune. Phil
  19. I take it the Pulsar is now off the sales list then Vis, not that it matters to me as I can't afford it at present. The rifle looks mean and very purposeful. Phil
  20. Just had a delivery of two tins, Falcon Accuracy Plus .177 today and had a play a few minutes ago. I sent a mag (14) through the HW, then had a go at the target although I know the gun needs leading up, just wanted to see what they are like. My cottage garden is only 15mts so not really a true test but nevertheless it was a start until I can get time to go to the range. One thing, it was bloody cold...................... The top hole is a 4 pellet group with the cross hairs on the centre and the lower group is a mildot hold under and a 10 shot group. I am quite pleased with that for a
  21. Enjoyed that Rez, quite a surprise regarding the drop off, weird... Phil
