  1. Hmmm sounds like a vague plan coming together, time to dig out my carp bivvy. Phil
  2. shhh, my HW100 will hear you and be deeply offended
  3. I will not swear to it but I heard that you will have to get a temporary visitors ticket to take your gun but you know as well as I do that it is unlikely you would have a problem but a phone call to the police is the easiest way forward in future. Phil
  4. Thanks Si, I had no idea about your project but nevertheless a cracking offer from both you and Jimmy, well done gentlemen. Phil
  5. Now thats what I am talking about.....................serious nutssss Phil
  6. This should prove to be an interesting project Si but I think I must have missed something, what prize ??? Phil
  7. I have been carefully watching the activity from the pigeon, well I would if any turned up but I gave it a couple of hours but apart from the odd crow well out of range, nothing to be seen. A change of plan was called for so I went round to the warren pasture where there is a deep valley lined with trees which had quite a number of mixed corvids resting in the trees. I put up around 20 or 30 crows as I worked my way round the track. The sun was now taking the temperature way up and I assume the crows were simply staying out of the heat. Once settled under a large tree giving me some sh
  8. I tried the pellet on the turret test, the super glue seemed to keep it in place very well.........that is about the only way it would stay on the turret. I did about a dozen shots, pellets all over the place so I think we can say it is not as smooth as it could be. Phl
  9. I will be interested to see the results Mark because I intend building two natural hides on my perm, one for the bunnies and one for crows/pigeon, so a few photo's may well be useful right now. Phil
  10. John I hate to say this but I remember them when they hit the shops the first time around, I wish I didn't but no escaping the fact I do. Phil
  11. Teamwork, you get the meat and mom does the cooking, sounds like a good plan to me. Phil
  12. I will get you those mate with pleasure. Is this where you say..............you should have bought a Prosport.....................I may come to that decision and if I really get into the springer...............I may NEED to buy one at some stage. Need a .22 first though. Phil
  13. You can be a judge on mine then Jimmy when we meet to see if Sean can make it better although I'm not saying it is bad but I don't have anything to compare it with. I know there is a guy on another forum who does some wonderful things with TX and Prosport according to some feedback I had but it is difficult to know if my TX is as good as it gets. We will see Jimmy. Phil
  14. I think everyone check zero before a shooting session and make adjustment as required. I have often thought the movement in transit can cause a shift. Phil
  15. So are we going to see a photo of the new hide yet Mark, I assume this is the one you showed a photo of...................or did not show a photo of in a previous post. Phil
  16. They have a lot of fans on another forum and I have just tried some, seem spot on on a brief test with the pellets given to me. I am going to get some along with express and have both zero values on the scope. Certainly hit bloody hard Si. Phil
  17. Which model Rapid is on the left Phil
  18. I know AA are made by JSB Mitch but is there any difference at all between AA and JSB Express in .177 Phil
  19. Not a sound came from the North Lincolnshire coast......................................................................................... Phil
  20. I bought what I can only describe as a short zipped pencil case which takes 3 mags and keeps any dirt away from the mag so ideal for using a touch of spray oil AND keep ing them clean and whats better, it cost £2.50 from a shop called 'The Range', you may have one in your area. If you want one Mac, let me know and i will get you one next week. Phil
  21. As it happens, I was flicking through the pages of Air Gunner, not a mag I normally take but one I bought on holiday as there was a review in there of the 110 and whilst I think we all take some of these reviews with a pinch of salt, the editor states he got 120 shots through a .177whilst the gauge was still just in the green sector, with 14fps across the whole string. If that is to be believed, then that guy having a shot count of 40 doesn't seem to be in keeping with other statements made in the press. I cannot see in any way this new gun is going to have a performance like that. Come on
  22. Ooohhhh that is bloody good Mark. I don't think I needed to put up my post of a few minutes ago, JSB Heavies. Phil
  23. A friend of mine sent about 50 of these pellets for me to try, comparing against Bisley Mags in the HW100. Now after I had been to the range today, I had about 20 pellets left so 10 mins ago, I popped into the garden and shot them in the TX. Okay they shot about one mildot lower than FAP but apart from some fliers which was me, they grouped well ( grouped well for me bearing in mind I am still on a learning curve with this gun). Has anyone else used them in a TX and how did you find them/or still using them. Are springers in general better with lighter pellets or does it make any differenc
