  1. I wonder if they are strong enough to run on a springer because I am going to need another scope for the Rapid and may use my Varmint from the TX so will need a replacement but cannot afford to buy another £200_300 scope in the short term. This one is no good for the Rapid as I doubt I will be able to get the nv add on to fit with the IR control. Phil
  2. Did you have a word with Simon then Phil about the fac,,air atvbjimmy  Yes I did Jimmy and applying for an FAC ticket along with my renewal shotgun certificate so they run together. I wish I had seen your guns for sale JJM, I would have been interested. Phil
  3. I bought a Stanley tool bag from B&Q for a tenner, not too big and not too small. Phil
  4. Get thee hence temptation.......................oh, I am so weak...............deposit paid !!!! Phil
  5. There are quite a few scopes on ebay which have been bought by various people on another forum which have been a good purchase. What seems to happen however sometimes is the consistency of manufacture that has cause issues for some. The scope shown here looks to be great value for money if the glass is decent. Phil
  6. As usual Mark...............nice shooting mate. Phil
  7. I look forward to trying these out when my dear wife get down the 1500 AA Field she has in stock. I do wonder why the .177 version does not have the same following as in the world of .22, is it the fact that in 177, it is too light and more prone to cross winds. Phil

  11. I am not keen on mr wabbit nor is the family but as I have loads on the perm, a different approach to cooking them might be in order. Do you guys joint them or cook them whole. Phil
  12. Ah,,,,,,,there we have it boys, a shotgun cert ,Yes.................FAC, no. That is the reason it is still there. I have been toying with the idea of getting an FAC ticket but not sure my perm would be suitable to get approval because there are public footpaths on the edge which might screw it up. I have just been told that whilst my shotgun cert is due in October, with the backlog, I need to apply now and I am not ready to go for an FAC at the moment which is a pity because if I applied for both at the same time, my shotgun cert will only cost me £2.00 extra. Just not good timing I'm afr
  13. I popped into my local RFD today for a coffee and chat along with a scrounge for some BKL mounts. He didn't have the mounts BUT what was leaning agaist the wall behing the counter had me fixed to the spot. A Rapid MK2, .22 mint..................well of course I asked to take a closer look, it seemed much lighter in the hand than I expected, Oh my lord, it felt spot on fitted with a quick fill port as well. It had just been priced up at £550 and my mind was racing with 'SHALL I DO IT' but then the dawning of reality was dropped in my lap as the RFD said it was an FAC version Not happy.
  14. Somw very nice terrain there Si. Phil
  15. I bought a spare cylinder for my HW100KT a couple of months ago, thought it might be a handy thing to have and use it for switching in the field if I run out of air. I had not really thought of selling it but as my pension is likely to drop a bit perhaps so. Phil
