£4 difference between the tins, are the 5.51 an old tin. The 5.52 seem to do the trick mate, melt the others down for fishing leads. Phil

Sounds good Si, if we ever meet up, I will deffo ask for a few shots through her and the Wolf of course but mainly the Ultimate Sporter. Phil

The big question Jimmy, is the new raider as good as the one which you loved so much. If it is, then you know what you would be buying and know that it compared with your HW100 so the decision is not so big, both will work for you, it is just a case of which do you prefer. I think I would be a little nervous getting rid of the HW in case the Raider is not quite as you remembered it. The ideal situation is to get the Raider and try it out, if okay, sell the HW. Phil

That is well worth the money. When I finally get my FAC through and get my hands on the Rapid Mk2, the stock is VERY bland so I want to do something, we will wait and see. Phil

I can only agree Mark. A friend of mine used to drive trucks in Australia where mixy was first introduced, he said the drivers used to simply stop the trucks and fire a pistol into a grey field, the grey field was tens of thousands of rabbits, you could not miss and quite often you would pick several up with one shot and BBQ them at the side of the road for lunch. He said until you have seen the sheer volume of rabbits that were there, you can't understand why the government would release the disease. One thing is for sure mate, they should have left it over there because the UK has never ha

Air Rifle Stubble Shooting, Ratting And A Few Rabbits

We have a guy down here Jimmy who will dip the gun for about £100 and that is a full semi auto shotgun, I almost don't want to say this but I made the enquiry because my youngest daughter wants a PINK CAMO semi auto shotgun...........................I'll get me coat. Nice vid PP Phil -
Up to your usual standard again Mitch. Phil

I had one but not for long. 1, heavy up front 2, power levels all over the place but generally downwards (11.7-9.?) 3, sticking mag 4, Armex (importer) did not seem interested neither did the RFD so he got NO further business. I spoke to Airtech before I sold it as he had 4 in for similar problems, Carl's words not mine ' the reg will never work for long', he was producing his own reg for this gun as the issue was a common one and growing. If I had kept it, I would have fitted a BSA R10 bottle which was less than half the weight, reduced the barrel length and had the gun regged with an

MEAN MACHINE..................... Phil

Totally agree, both bloody lovely. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of price for one like that. Phil

They are really a nice looking gun Si, I had promised myself one but had quite a surprise when I picked one up in the shop, it just felt wrong, I couldn't get comfortable with it, quite a disappointment really. It is one of those guns that when you hand it back, you wished you had asked to try it, a bit like the Wildcat which was a revelation when I actually got the chance to shoot one so perhaps one day I will get to shoot one and go way back up the list again. She is a pretty lady Si and hope you enjoy it mate. Phil

Pity, I was down that neck of the woods last week, I could have picked it up for you Rez OR kept it myself.............................Oh well. Phil
-
I did wonder about that trick David but to be honest I would prefer to find a pellet that shoots straight before adding any lube. The selection of pellets locally is very poor meaning you have to send away for so many types, god knows why. Phil
-
Totally agree and I will have to bite the bullet and get a selection in when I have finished my bloody decorating, who said I would have loads of spare time when I am retired !!!!!!!!!! My local RFD has a few opened tins for range testing guns so they will be the first to try which saves a bit of cash. God I sound so fecking tight, holiday to pay for in two weeks time, I need a lottery win or a bit of one will do fine or get the wife to do an extra little part time job.......................12 hour shifts down the pit Phil

Now you know that aint true old pal as I do recall you taking a shine to my sticks Phil -
Love the 'finger' at the end Renos, nothing wrong with those matey. Phil

Cheers Mac, I will get some different pellets to try. Deker the over powered situation is not my rifle but an identical situation shown on the vid link with 'Teds Holdover' which was an over powered HW .177 FAC and was given as an illustration to the pellet flight path, not the same problem, I see the confusion as we were talking about the same link on another thread so perhaps it seemed to be offered as THE problem but that was not the case here. Which brocock did you buy the good lady then Phil. Sorry John, missed your question. It is a s/h Contour with a Leaper Bug Buster scope making an extremely light outfit, I thought if she didn't use it much, it will do for my grandson when he is old enough. Phil -
Free Handed Standing Unsupported
philpot replied to just-A-snap's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I think free standing is blooooomin hard for anyone (except maybe Viz) but with your condition it must be a hell of lot harder Renos. Well done you. I find myself taking most of my hunting shots free standing, not because I want to but the rabbit or pigeon has gone by the time I manage to get down to kneel and then hope there is a good branch to get back up again, perhaps why I miss a lot...................... Keep at it Renos. Phil
