The day will come when you turn round and say.......................thats it I am selling that feckin gun Phil, do you still want it..................i might just say YES. !!!! ?
-
Look at the Kral group on facebook Jimmy, there are some fac from USA but most is sub 12 from the UK. I don't think you do FB but as far as the groups are concerned, it can be very good. Phil

Eh up Jimmy, thought you might join in.

The guy who has the 10g auto also has a double 8ga breach loader. He has had brass cartridge cases made and loading his own, he recons about £4.70 per cartridge. Him and his wife are goose shooters before anything else although funnily enough last year he bought a 28ga for game and using TSS shot, he is taking a great many geese with this gun to the point that his wife has used the double 8 while he has used the 28ga all season. Funny ole world.

I do wish some of these clubs would allow fac air, that is a shame Dave.
-
Maximum house points in that case Bernard. Have you ever worked out what the cost is for the loads, just curious. A friend has just bought a 10g semi auto but not been able to buy any shells yet.
-
Don't know what you are drinking or what soap you are using Si but you look younger than ever in your avatar dear boy. ? Phil
-
I think woodcock with any gauge is difficult but the last ones I shot were with a 28ga, cracking gun, crazy cartridge price. There again the cost of your 10ga shells must be close to a second mortgage.

Well we know sub 12 is more than capable of shooting rats Mitch in fact that is all I used for a couple of years linked to the fact that fac in .177 has very little following in the UK, I just wondered what they would be like not that I am wanting a .177 (except Jimmy's FX Verminator), give me a .25 fac any day of the week. You sound a right moaner tonight Mitch, whats up, a shit day, just something to look at as it's got VERY slow on here lately. ? Phil
-
It is very rare we see any footage of .177 being used at fac levels which made this vid quite interesting. Not sure what FPE it is running at but it states it is 935FPS throgh an Impact. It seems there are some rather large rats in South Africa and although no distances are given, it certainly stops them. My shooting buddy got a phone call yesterday from a farmer we know saying he had lost about 2 acres of rape to rabbits so we popped over to take a look in daylight to get a feel of the place then went last night to reccie with nv to note where they are coming out. It seems there are two quite large warrens that feed out into the crop which we saw in daylight and these two had fed about 10 - 12 rabbits out each. We didn't want to shoot last night as we always want to get grips with where we are going to shoot before taking the guns. Last night and the previous nights have been very strong

I have used a 32'' Beretta DT10 for almost 10 years so I know exactly how they feel and how well they move to target which is why I am going back to one and I used to shoot skeet with this gun on many occasions with no problem. I understand your comment regarding the fact that Berettas are not for you, I think we all fit into one camp or another, I have owned several Brownings and Mirokus and do not like the feel of them in the shoulder or the difference in muzzle flip but by far prefer the balance and feel of the Italian guns Beretta, CG and Perazzi being the main ones. I do have however have

I have tried the big 'K' and just don't like it, ugly and heavy, not for me and I have looked at the Perazzi factory trip to get one fitted but that will be pushing it just too far and sadly it will remain a dream.
-
Not just my cartridges but my wifes as well. The Perazzi will be a stretch, only wish I had not sold my old one. Bernard, where did you find that idiot, one guy that shouldn't even own a gun, what a dick. Could make a brilliant goose gun on my local foreshore though but it looked like it has a kick like a blackpool donkey.....
-
No No No boys I am not talking about my dick or perhaps...................never mind, I have decided to go back to a 32'' shotgun again mainly for clays as I sold my Beretta DT10 for an offer I couldn't refuse and bought a Caesar Guerini 30''. It's a cracking gun and very fast to find the target and I may keep it and have the stock modified for Olympic Trap shooting but my mind is made up to get a 32'' but which one. I always seem to go back to Beretta and the 694 is a much better price than the DT11 bearing in mind with the price of cartridges now and with another price increase due in a mon

Nice write up matey and a bloody good session to boot. Phil

Stingers......... they are the ones Bernard, I gave all mine away, just could not get on with them.

Back in 2020, I did test my RWS subs against Hornady HV at 60mt which were just as accurate in my Tikka barrel however they are not the same velocity as CCI HV which are around 1600fps (and crap in my humble opinion) whereas the Hornady are approx 1250fps but nevertheless more than standard subs and much quieter than CCI. Not a round I use a lot but they have taken a few foxes with no problem at closer range. Phil

May your mother and father soon be married........................................................barsteward ?

I would be tempted to change your name in that case. ? Phil

You will get our Jimmy thinking about another Raider as he loved the ones he had. Phil
-
Cheers Mark, we have three more of these out in different spots and they are squirrel proof so no eaten away feeders or regular replacements.
-
Alright Mitch you doubting old bugger, I will take some pics just for you. I tell you what has worked well for us is our squirrel feeders made from old road sign posts with a tray at the bottom and a pellet tin for a top lid. We have made them to 6' long but 4.5' is more managable as we leave old ladders or steps tied to the trees to fill them which will give upto a weeks supply of feed depending how many sqizzers are feeding. We also have badgers and deer come to help themselves which is why they are mounted as high as they are in the photos. I only wish there were the same numbers of squi

For the past few years my shooting partner who runs the village tip has been able to extract from the skip a number of old trellises usually complete with green staining but why the hell do we want those, well these make brilliant hide frames. One perm we have is a double quarry, one full of trees and the other side is a few trees with large grass areas and this perm is ideal for permanent hides, in fact we have five hides that are used for different quarry and a fresh batch of trellis panels came in today along with a bloody big piece of tank cammo netting plus some normal camo I was given ju

Already doing that Mitch, I will be ordering those meals for the elderly soon.
