The Edgun Leshy is I believe the shortest gun when folded going down to 299mm so less than a foot long. I would have the FX Verminator as a hunting gun if I were to buy again but when I was about to order one, I heard that FX were stopping production so I bought a Mk3 Wildcat fac. Brocock are now part of Daystate which is a very good reason not to buy one with that company's record for support when things go wrong and they often do. If my memory serves me correctly, Kral also make a fold down which will be a fraction of the cost of Daystate guns and the reputation of Kral and some

Welcome aboard Liam, I think you are a little to late as the thread was March 2023 but you never know. Phil

Ey up Mark, Merry Xmas my old friend, I hope you are enjoying the day and feeling much better now mate. Take good care of yourself. Phil

You changed your mind and gone for near eye type, well enjoy and I hope it does what you want. Phil

I really like the bottle conversion but a bit heavy for me. On my old FX Wildcats sub 12 rifles I could get over 200 shots per fill and it still only weighed in at 2.6kg. I have just got used to light weight guns and by far prefer them now but I do love that green HW of yours. It is a pity Weihrauch don't make a 110 in the green, super light and looks ace. Phil

Have you sold the geen HW100 that you had BN. Phil

Lovely fish and interestingly, I never used soft plastics however a couple of years ago i was fishing my local river using MH Custom lures (my go to lures) but no pike were showing at all so just as a random attempt to catch something I put on a softy and within two casts I caught my PB perch, 4lb 9oz. I also thought it was a pike, I was really excited and tried to get a photo of it while holding it to give scale but it was a real handful although I did manage a couple of poor photos. Next cast, 3lb 1oz followed by another 19 perch in just over an hour, madness, I went back the next day with

I just looked and sales was missing but I clicked onto 'classified' at the top of the screen which seems to have done something as it is now back on as normal. Phil

I was on the Humber sea wall yesterday for a couple of hours but the wind was cutting but worse than that, a dredger was working in the river, perhaps the reason why I never had a touch. I loaded some new braid on my fixed spool reels, J-Braid Grand, really nice and smooth, casting really well. I just might get another spool to put on one of my multiplier reels to see how well it runs, I did load some Whiplash earlier this year on a spare SLosh20 but I really do not like that stuff so perhaps this J-Braid Grand is a better proposition. Two weeks ago was the very first time I have caught

You two old buggers at it ......................................

Yes, I remembered later it was you that bought one BN ,pleased to hear it does the job because it looks really nice. I have come to the conclusion that near eye NV is simply not for me, I by far prefer to have both eyes open and the bonus is that I don't fall over or lose my balance which did happen on a couple of occassions with near eye systems Or you can't see anything with the intensity of having a bright image in your eye on a dark night but my buddy has no issues at all so it must be me........................... old tart. Phil
-
As said before, try one if you can. The 'near eye' type is good for the rabbits while laid out in wait but I found when constantly scanning farm buildings etc for rats and feral pigeons they are a pain in the arse, far far easier to hold the gun on the hip or tripod and using two eyes scan the area and the bonus is at hip height, no flare back to your face from the screen, oh yes, you will get flare with near eye as well. I take far more shots at hip height with the nv than at eye level and far more stable than you might think but you can't do this on a 'near eye' nv. Try one...............

Welcome aboard, blimey this is a 7 year old thread but never mind. My shooting pal bought one last year to help relive his youth. Phil

Yes Mitch is no longer here but most of us are anyway what have you been up to in Germany. I love that country and before retiring I used to go over quite a bit, 2 or 3 times a year on business, great beer, great food, and great people I found. It's good to have you back mate. Phil

With all the high tech night vision, some of which I have tried / bought and sold, the two I will not part with are my Viper and Wolf 'NiteSite' being able to skan the area for rats is so much easier with the old TV style units, in fact there is a modern day version of this type of nv on ebay for about £150, one of the lads on here has one but I cant remember who. This is it I think although it looks like the price has gone up a bit. NVS30 Night Vision Scope Infrared Cameras APP WIFI for Hunting & Surveillance WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Model: NVS30.

Stroll on me old dukzzz where the hell have you been hiding, never mind James, it good to see you back on here matey. Phil

I do agree with you but the change of cattle feedes simply removed much of the food source so the rats moved away and the cats keep numbers down now as there is only a fraction of the population of rats there now. Phil
-
I totally agree with you, we had a perm where we shot around 1100 rats per year, fantastic winter sport but then the dairy farm cleaned up its act fitting off the ground feeders, released some feral cats which bred so now there is about 25 cats and the rats have gone. We are just waiting for some feedback from the council as they have major issues with rats at their waste depot with rats chewing through power cables, huge numbers and now almost imune to the poisons so we are in with a chance again. Phil

Sport of kings BN only wish I could get another productive ratty perm. Phil

It.s a little dandy is that Jimmy but you know that.

My pal phoned the other day to say he had bought some of these pellets after seeing rave reviews on the web / youtube so we went to our local rfd who has a 25mt indoor range as part of the shop. My pal had managed to get both .177 and .22 so he could try his two FX DRS rifles, in short the outcome was excellent with one hole groups in both cals. I had taken my fairly recent purchase BSA Ultra .22 and my FX Wildcat .22 fac to try them in. The Ultra was not a roaring success however and compared to the AA Field pellets they were not as tight a group, 20mm at 25mt so not good enough for me but

The guy never came back on the site so I don't think you will get very far on this occasion. Phil
