I have the Pard 007v and on the Hawke Airmax / Airmax compact it is pretty good but not on all scopes. My buddy has a couple of the 008 and loves them, one is going on my hmr to see how I get on with it. Nice thing with the 008 is that you can program in different setting for differnt distances . Phil

Good write up.

Yes they are the importer. There are very few rimfire rifles that are anywhere near the price of high end pcp rifles.

I know I have tried a couple for you but I just remembered Richardsons of Halesworth in Suffolk, two old boys who have forgotten more than most rfds will ever know. My wife and I call in to see them every time we go clay shooting at John Bidwell's, Highlodge where we have been staying for a couple of weeks every year for the last 17 years. They are lovely guys and to watch them build guns in front of you is amazing, give them a call. If they say they can do it, you can bank on them. Behance WWW.BEHANCE.NET Phil

Any FX dealer will return the gun to The Sportsman Gun Centre for repairs and they are in the south so winner winner.

Do you mean you would NOT have any other make Mitch. ?

There is another guy in Spalding, Lincolnshire, AGR Tuning, Tony, who works on a number of gun types and a helpfull chap to boot. He did work for me on my Impact and is well worth a call, he is firearms registered so working on fac is not an issue but I am not sure if he has retired but anyway his number is 07847 485 993 Hope that helps Phil

I was going to say they are a better class of people up here but perhaps not a good idea. ??

To be honest FX now has the lion's share of fac air rifles in this country mainly because most of their production is making guns at full power for use in USA and SA along with other parts of the world that do not have our silly sub 12 rules. I have had the Impact .25 fac at 50fpe but now own a Wildcat .22 fac running at 35fpe. The bottle version and other bottle guns in the range will give you a decent shots per fill ratio compared to my cylinder version which gives me around 50 - 60 shots per fill whereas my old Impact gave 90 shots per fill. The Crown .22fac my pal has which seems to be a

Not sure how central this would be for you but 'Ratworks' is based in Leicester I believe and Phil Crampton has a very good reputation, perhaps worth looking at. Phil

Haa you have seen him as well DB.

It is a joke, there simply is not a metal that will work in airgun, both sub 12 and fac and of course rimfire. The idiots pushing this will destroy shooting in this country but I guess that is the intention don't you think.

Yes I have heard good things about it and tempted to go BUT I want to have wind out targets to set the distance but that is not available there, a great shame IMHO nevertheless it's good to see someone creating a dedicated range for the airgunner. I have been a few times to Humberside shooting ground near Hornsea where there are plenty of range places AND wind out targets to 65mt, just a shame they don't allow fac. Phil

I had the biatalon lever and totally agree they are spot on. Have a word with Hull Cartridge Jason as they sometimes have the laminated stocks from a fcuked gun or simply one too many. Phil

I used to use diopter sights for 'bell target' shooting, quite demanding but I also enjoyed using them.

I was in my rfd yesterday when a chap came in to buy the cheapest air rifle he could saying that he had a problem with pigeon crapping all over his garden furnature. A suitably cheap rifle (can't remember the make but shitty) which had a very cheap scope fitted was offered. The chap asked if there was a guantee with the gun and was told no, it is a s/h old gun but as a gesture they would give a month, the guy turned and said ' I am talking about killing the pigeon and then explained that if he couldn't kill the pigeon, the gun must be faulty and he will expect to get his money back............

I would speak to Hawke as they are superb to deal with and their scopes have a lifetime warranty and although your pal dropped it, they may help you out. To be very honest, if I had done that, I would replace the scope for my pal so present him with the bill for a new one if all else fails although a true friend would offer to cover the cost of replacement anyway. Phil

I do like the diopter sights for their intended purpose but if you are using them because yo can't get a scope to focus, simply get a scope that goes down to 10mt. I only have a 15mt garden but all my scopes focus perfectly at that. Phil

I KNOW you really want one Jimmy, you can't fool me matey........................I KNOW ?

It was not the fact that it was laminated, it was the gun itself, wildly inaccurate and varying power output, very poor grip on the stock. It was all sorted by Hull Cartridge but I didn't want it back however I loved the black stocked Compact guns and would like another.
