My dogs are both pets, Never trained them to do anything hunting wise. Why will 1 of them do anything to find a pheasant? he can find them like a needle in a hay stack. Just runs off as soon as he has the scent of 1 and won't come back until he has done what he wants to do yet a rabbit can run in front of him and he won't take a blind bit of notice? Any ideas how to stop this? He has perfect recall everytime apart from pheasant

I said I havn't done it before on my own, he said it's fine just wants rid of them. He's got a few mates with land if it all goes well so could lead 2 more. He also asked about fox's and if I could have a look. I've told him already I don't have a gun or licence but if I do see any and he wants me 2 sort it I'm sure a few people off here will happily come down and sort it. Il put it on here when It comes to it. Cheers

I got my first permission today!! Looking forward to it. Never done anything on my own before but really wana give it a go. Thought I'd try and get permission first and now I have i got to buy everything! Looking forward to taking the kids more than anything ☺☺

very good money, lad I worked with left a factory because he got grandish a week plus digsI do telecoms but the green cabinets on the side of roads installing new Internet lines. Same money so open reach? Have to deal with them on a daily basisWe're sub contractors but get work from bt / openreach. I don't work for openreach.We used to do cable recovery and when that run out some of us got offered this cab work. Same as kellys and quinn do

I used to do that before telecoms on cusion trucks. M11 m25 and a 14. Easy work lol chucking cones and signs out

It might seem nosey but was just curious as to what people do for work? It always seems people have lots of time to get out and work there dogs or is it more that everyone makes time to get out?

yeh lol ,suppose its safer having a mutt like that lol, my big dog would have smelled it , then bingo had it down on the deck I have to be very careful where I take him Mine find them but are to slow to catch whatever they chase and even if they could they wouldn't do anything

Mines rottweiler x springer.Looks like he's got a lab faceEverybody thinks she's a lab. I got her from a gamekeeper i know shes a very bright dog she has probally learnt me more than i have her lol. Lol. Mine Arnt "working dogs" the staff ones mum come from working lines apparently but I bought him as a pet only. he can find pheasants like a needle in a hay stack and will chase hares and rabbits but Luckily he's to slow to catch anything.
