  1. Would the bitch from rags and smithy be called witch Glyn?
  2. He was good, had a pup off him. Ugly brute but decent worker.
  3. They revive kids in the ice after ages, never give up till alls lost.at least half an hour after rescue, seen em come back time after time. Tough little buggers.
  4. Haix work boots high leg lace up. comfy dry last me couple of seasons. About 95 quid great value, I never treat em just hose em off. On my 2nd pair now.
  5. Please don't post names of folk you don't know! Bad karma!!!!
  6. Allround general fitness in body and mind should do without these mechanical devices for me. For digging dogs, from now till spring work will keep em there.
  7. Conditioning is great aiming for a set date,WE as working terrier blokes cannot hope to have a dog at the conclusion of his keep, ready from August to March. Best for us is a fit healthy well preped athelete. Recovery can mean mi utes, hours or days. For me personally sometimes I have to get a dog back to work before I'm happy.
  8. Bryan, About the norm, that's why folk lose interest and don't post !!!!! Leaving it to trolls and misinformed to run riot. IMO only.
  9. Put the dog box on the front, horrible to steer but keeps yr dogs alive.
  10. As a lakie enthusiast, I've never seen one I would feed,
  11. Wonderful! No more a worker than in the winter. Often more. We often struggled to get em shampooed and combed out, fluffed up and sorted, before the first class.
  12. Mick was very slape coated " smooth" very similar to a lot of the wheeler bred dogs. That came later, he was fairly round chested, and a lump of a dog. JP was never shy of dropping a dog in,I would cringe at some of the places , no locator. He had a wonderful confident faith in his stock. Great man to be out with, formidable drinker and a fulmidable knowledge of blood stock.
  13. There was a time when we met up, went digging, had a bonanza and then went the show!! Judge of the day would have been there ! No doubting workers or jackers then. Hmmm! Happiness.
  14. Saw mick work several times, he was a very steady thoughtful dog. He was a habitual masterbaiter tugging himself relentlessly on the front seat of JP's very new 110. Never seen a dog do it since or before. JP could communicate to this dog whilst digging urging him on calming him down as he felt necessary. Truelly amazing!! They were an item, no others sat in the front in my time. Happy days.
  15. Good boots, an urge to work hard, a gob that never opens and a Facebook account deleted. After that it comes easy,be a grey man and absorb what comes. We all do stuff differently, look for the man and dogs that are busy, his kit and dogs will be shaved down to suit his ground and his for. JMO " should say foe " soz.
  16. Grand stuff, bought back a flood of memories for me as a child, watching my Grandad. Cocks, dogs, then men!! Seen him many times shirt off going at it. Me holding his baccy and a worn dog wrapped in a coat. History !!! BRILLIANT.
  17. Who is the terrier judge for this fine occasion,
  18. Bit early, most folk ask in September.
  19. Just when you think this forum is a crock of shite, brilliance happens, fair play to all involved, and !! The story will un ravell as these pups develop. Great stuff! Fair play to you TAZ,
