Assuming you still pay your license fee , then it's your money they are paying these tossers . In a free market where there is competition and a company wants to pay you x amount because you are good at your job , fair enough , I'm all for people who work hard getting on , but it's public money which if you own a television , which most people do then you have to pay it , or face ultimately prison ! I don't. It's on the same level as "You cruel man, why don't you buy your meat from the supermarket rather than kill these innocent deer!". There are some properly stupid and emotional people in this country. Well lap it up then & over react about people over reacting.... Over react? Personally I think it's f***ing hilarious. Perhaps I smile too much at such things? I kind of meant it as general observation of these type of threads, I wasn't imagining you red faced & fuming! Haha....I know these kind of freaks do exist, but nor do I think it's inconceivable for fellow hunters

Does your mum keep an eye on the prices. What point or reason would she cash in? She wouldn't cash It, Its past down mother to mother she knows it's worth ( a tidy few quid ) she will pass it in to her granddaughters . Ok, more valuable than 'just gold'.& a fair bit of pressure to look after it all, deposit box would of been the way until recently!
