Thanks for the write up Mark. My last x3 trips have resulted in blanks with no shots fired. All down wind of the warren last 2 hours before complete darkness and I have only seen maybe 6 rabbits over the complete time period. I think they are under control and I need to find another permission.

I really like Jsb Heavies 10.34gr in my R10 Mk2. They really hit home hard and are very accurate.
-
New cylinder arrived and fitted. Just leaving it to stand to ensure it holds pressure now.
-
A&M cylinder arrived but its going back as it has some kind of finish issue towards the end of the cylinder. Gutted.
-
Might have to keep a spare, my s410k is 10 years old at least first one I have had to change so far.
-
Faps arrived in good condition. But my s410k's maazine indexing post broke this morning, typical. Ordered a new one £10 first class delivered.

I have to admit the falcons and Rs grouped the same but the falcons had been bashed about and a lot were it poor condition. I just hope this x5 tins from Uttings have been packed well and are in good condition.
-
x5 tins of falcon accuracy plus arriving tomorrow from Uttings.
-
A&M cylinder arriving Friday...can't wait.

Went with faps from uttings I hope they are not battered like the last batch of faps I got.

Played around with Jsb jumbo exacts 15.9gr after using Exact Rs for a while. Decided to stick with the Rs in future in this rifle, they simply fly so flat and fast 615-625fps its make .22 a much easier calibre to shoot. Got x2 tins left so need to find some in stock somewhere, the last batch of Rs were good quality the Falcons were a bit battered in the batch before that. Uttings look like my best bet for x5 tins of Faps £60 delivered I think. Anyone know of any other places with Exact Rs in stock. Cheers Oh and ordering a A&M Cylinder for the Hw100kt on Wednesday.

Thanks for the replies.

On the plus side with the 110 vs 100ks is shot count and almost similar length but the 110 is lighter.

Makes the compatto look like a steal at £585 The 110 I looked at was okay, the only thing that would really put me off was repairs having to go back to Hull Cartridge and no spares available. The 100 series are childs play once you have done them a few times.

Cheapest I have just found is £745 local.
-
What is the going rate for a Hw100ks .177 (New) hull cartridge version. Seen £800 locally which I though was steep. Cheers

I might give you a shout about that one day mate - I love the 100 and, I wish I had the confidence to strip it but, to be honest, I haven't got a feckin clue when it comes to PCPs Its dead easy my reg pressure is set at 90bar fitted the hw100 tuning AT removal kit and springs. My rifle prefers softer, smaller head size pellets, its very good with the JSB range. Very good with Exact RS, and Exact Jumbo's, its doing very well with JSB jumbo exacts 15.9gr with a batch of 5.50 head size.

It was more the extra shots, less weight. I have my trusty hw100kt in .22, R10, and s410k both in .177. The more I think about it I might go with the Hw100ks simply because I can strip service fettle all myself.
-
Sounds about right with the heavies that is what my R10 mk2 is running at .177. In mine Bisley magnums make the same power more or less. I like mine with 8.44gr pellets to be doing around 770-780fps. I will get the RFD to check it before I collect unless I play it safe with the hw100ks.
-
I am 99% sold on a hw110 .177 being my August purchase, only a hw100ks could rule it out. The price, the shot count, the weight. The only thing I am concerned about is the fact it appears you cant adjust the reg pressure or hammer spring just in-case it comes hot or cold. The Hw100 is easy to adjust. Going to a decent dealer who would chrono before sale or let me bring my chrono might help.

Can anyone suggest someone to tune a BSA R10 mk2, must be reliable and deliver the goods. Cheers.

As long as the barrels are any good and its the right power from the factory it should be a great rifle.

Groups have open up after a tin of pellets not much to be fair but noticeable. Gave the barrel a clean checked the barrel grub screw all scope/mount screws while I was there. After a good barrel clean it took x3 mags and it was back to grouping really well. So mine looks like a barrel clean every tin, check all screws, nuts, bolts. Put x3 mag's through it then set zero. I have to say overall I don't think the hw .22 barrels are as good as BSA and LW barrels, so I might look at changing the barrel out in the future.
