  1. there are a few townies where i am so i can get pretty close.
  2. been poor around me for a while now. still a few but not the numbers there used to be. not great when your bringing on a young dog
  3. ive not posted for a while. so here is a fox head study. click on the pic
  4. I think as you get older Tim that seems to happen , i sit and just watch wild life may be different if my Rifles get returned but i think it is just nice to see what is out there doing their own thing might even go into photography .. if you do get into photography it would be just as rewarding. and the bonus is you can shoot the same beast more than once. expensive hobby though
  5. totally different shapes in head/body wise and temperments-folks bang on about wheatens being dog aggressive... Everyone I've been around has been good as gold, only interested in the job at hand. If a dogs nasty with others then that's down to a bad owner imo. Atb dc i would have to disagree with you. some dogs are just downright twats. and no amount of socialising will change them . first image is Darcey. quarter wheaten. second is ozzy. first cross.
  6. lovely bitch that. in good shape. but feck me your pictures arnt improving
  7. hope you have a strong heart and nerves of steel. fingers crossed for you
  8. love the look of this pup. looks a handy size as well
  9. had to turn this was doing my head in and giving me a sore neck lol
  10. wont go far wrong with a plummer / russell. . seem to get the best of both worlds. just spent two hours looking for mine. found him a stones throw from my house under a beach tree . great thread guys
  11. she went blind bud she was 8 yrs old .
  12. Bambam litter sister to Ace. now sadly gone.
  13. i recon your not as big a cnut as you like to make out .
  14. years ago i changed the way i work my dogs and dropped in line with the laws. i got a few plummers and they did what i needed with style. although if i was to get back to digging the amount i used to i would be looking for a good working russell or patt. crossed with a plummer. the crossbreds seem to get the best of both worlds . couldnt see myself without a plummer or plummer cross now . but i am of the opinion they are a sporting terrier . not an earth dog. there are breeds that can do that job better. but very few breeds produce terriers as intelligent and versitile as the plummer terri
  15. what turns a man so low. more than likely on here never mind someone knowing them. hope they get the lurcher back. fingers crossed someone spots them and puts a name to the face
  16. That would be bang on of you would? im struggling at the minute seems to be a bit of a mind field trying to source a plummer................... i have a good bloke on side from over the water who seems to know his onions so we will cross our fingers atb Ace's dam was an ideal size for you and work below also. i think she was around ten inch tts. my bitch amber was Ace's litter sister .just under 12. but very fine built. there are a few folk using them to ground with good results.
  17. has Ace written all over it. nice strong sort that credit to you and the breeder
  18. the answer to the million dollar question is easy. if you know it..... but impossible if you dont. i would be interested in corrective training or re training adult dogs. not for me of course. . as i am seasoned . if anyone wants to do a thread like purdy's progress with a difficult animal then you will have my attention . just as a matter of interest of course as mine are all cool. i wont hold my breath as breaking bad habits can be very difficult indeed. not like moulding a pup from scratch.
