I have lived in the house I'm in now for about 40 years there have always been Hedgehogs in the garden and I have aways used slug pellets. I put some ferret food under the ferret hutch every night and come every night unless its pissing down or a hard frost. but I have even had small ones come in frosty weather I reckon they haven't got enough weight to hibernate. The only problem with encouraging them is the little and some times not so little shits they leave on the paths lol. A hedgehog run up beside my front steps. A run by the the steps going to the garden. Anot
