  4. I went for 12mm bells from Hobby house £1.50 for 10 £4 with postage. They are louder than the 6mm ones, I also found it hard to hear the small ones. http://www.thehobbyhouse.co.uk/embellishments-c6/jingle-bells-c92/the-hobby-house-jingle-bells-12mm-silver-p1148/s1415 Cheers Arry
  5. Good to get out some time just bolt a few and just enjoy it. That bank looks ideal for good warrens its like the old pillow mounds the warrens created on Dartmoor only they would have been shorter. Doug that bank is it just for the phone wires ? Cheers Arry

  10. I remove the old collars by making two small cuts with a junior hack saw about 2mm apart along the seam on the inside of the collar, you might have to widen the 2mm gap a bit the get the old collar off. Then thread the new collar on to the right position mix araldite and run it into the 2mm gap. Cheers Arry
  11. What kind of short legged stock is that farmer keeping with wire set at that height, more like a trip wire. Thats a nice pic with the dog looking at you next to the pig wire (bloody pig wire) in the bracken. Good set up with the ferrets mate. Cheers Arry
  12. Beautiful Spot mate jealous, no briars or black thorn, love it. Cheers Arry
  13. Nice natural write up mate, bet you cringed when you heard that gate bang. All I seemed to be doing lately is those flailed black thorn hedges, the flailing helps to get in but all them bits. I also put a post on rabbits bolting early on the other page never know so many, Im wondering if the flailing makes them more nervous. Cheers Arry
  14. I like that little fella mate, thats bloody good going for such a young pup. Nice day out. Cheers Arry
  15. At the moment I'm about 50% down on normal years with mixie and RHD, RHD2 farmer close buy picked up 10 dead rabbits the other day. Going foraging for fungi the other day in a lane there was a rabbit sat at the foot of the hedge so I stopped got out and just picked it up, it then seemed to wake up and go mad fighting. It was bright eyed no damage just seemed to be asleep with its eyes open, think it maybe early stages of RHD. Don't look good. Cheers Arry
  16. Nice vid Doug, You do like that wire mate. Green with envy. Cheers Arry
  17. Did have to cut in bloody black thorn when two bolted the other day, but seems to happening more and more over the last couple of years. As for noise I know what you mean I use to get a slap round my ear from father if I even talked. Cheers Arry
  18. Lads just wondered if your getting rabbits bolting before the ferret are put to ground, it seems to be happening more often. Before two years ago I had only had it happen a few times, but this year we have had it about six or seven times, tilling a hedge few days ago one bolted into a net right next to me five minutes later my mate had the same. Carried on put the ferrets to ground got few more , no weasel or stoat. Its puzzling us and we have a fare few years behind us now. Cheers Arry
  19. I can't speak for them but you could try Coastainets of Bridport. www.coastalnets.co.uk/ Cheers Arry
  20. Fracko. Multi-Vitamin Malt Paste made by beaphar comes in a tube like tooth paste. Surpose to be good for their coat and anti-hairball etc. They probably don't really need it but I like to spoil them these days. Cheaper to buy it on line. Cheers Arry
  21. I feed meat in a run on the lawn mornings and then a small bowl of Wellbelove or Alpha in the hutch, also a dap of malt paste. Cheers Arry
  22. Nice ground still jealous as hell, all I seem to be getting at the moment is cutting in on black thorn, brambles and stingers. The wire fence always a problem when single handed. I know what you mean when you say nice just to be out there regardless of the score, also like the way you call you ferret. Cheers Arry
  23. A useful site to have a look at. http://www.ferret-universe.com/health/other.asp Cheers Arry
