Went to look at 5 acre field that had rabbit problem on the side of Dartmoor. On arriving and meeting the guy seem to be loads of rabbits running around, I did notice a small dead rabbit under a farm trailer but thought a cat must have killed it and thought no more about it. Then walking up a footpath in a tunnel of hazel another full grown one dead with no markings 20 yards further on another heavily pregnant doe then 3 more about 20 yard apart. This I think must be VHD but iv'e only seen one case before and that was about 20 years ago and that one had blood coming out of its ears. Any you gu
  6. Not on Facebook Laddylurcher, I took on 2 big farms last year and I want to concentrate on them and my mate I go with can only do just over half a day as he is a carer. So 50 miles each way doses not leave much time to do the work. Must be some lads down there that could use it. Cheers Arry.

  8. I've done a few now and about 90% of problems on MK1 come some this switch. Some can be cleaned by taking the numbered wheel off and cover (a small plastic disc ) and using some mentholated spirits or component cleaner and a cotton bud wipe the carbon dice. if this failed then fit new switch, there is stuff called solder wick, this is copper braid which you lay on the soldered joint put the soldering iron on top of and this draws the solder out of the hole which makes it easy to remove the legs. If no braid then cut the legs off hold the leg with tweezers put soldering iron on joint pull gentl

  13. I must have been 10 or there about's I had been begging for a ferret for ages, then one day my father brought home a lovely little kit with a cracking coat on her. I handle her before school and as soon as I got home. Got the board rubber thrown at me many times as I looked out the school window day dreaming of ferreting, just wanted to be out there. One day went to check up on her and she was gone I was frantic looking every where then I found her, my little sister had got her out dressed her up in dolls clothes and was pushing around in a dolls pram ferret was not bothered at. I was mighty
  14. When I was a youngster my father brought home a little poodle cross sky terrier, he had taken it off a bloke who was beating it in the pub. To say I was gutted was a massive under statement as I had been pleading to have a Jack Russell. All my mates had Jack Russell's or Fox Terriers, my father told me just him take him out and try it. Well I did take him out hoping none of my mates would see me, got to say the little fella took to it like a duck to water soon started marking in and flushing rabbits. After tilling up I could sit him one side of hedge I would sand on top of the hedge, he was go

Well to say I was gutted was an big under statement, all my mates had Jack Russell's or Fox Terriers. My father told me just to take him out, well I did but not with mates didn't want them to see me with this fluffy little thing. Turned out he was a great rabbiting dog or ratting, after tilling both sides of a hedge I could get him to sit one side and i would stand on top, had to pick the burries but he would hold them for me. He would mark or flush rabb
  17. I can't speak for the Mk2's but the Mk1's thats the grey rectangular box's play up around wire fences, sheets of wriggly tin scrap metal etc. Electric fences you pick up the click of the HT pulse. Try putting your collar on your lawn and test the distance to see if its reading right. As for the Mk2 Im sorry to say nobody seems to like them or has any thing good to say about them. Cheers Arry
