Anyway we kept trying her she would go ground okay but would not find or shift anything, then one day about half way though the next season put her to ground and holy hell broke lose, a brace flew out. From that day on she was a great littl

Now that made me chuckle. explain then smart arse.i just had a quick look on the internet and small amounts of cows milk it won't do any harm. You are so right what you and the Forest of Dean say But ..when I was a young'en i used to borrow a odd spotted bass or a pheasant that fell out of a tree it was to help feed the family, its how i was brought up. But when I was about 12 i was so excited to get up first light even wade out in the sea to see what was on the the line we set the night before when the tides were right, over fifty years ago now. Also theres the outwitting the game keepers and bailiffs, sometime i think that was half the fun, never done it for profit just for the pot. Cheers Arry

Don't give him that..ferrets are lactose intolerant ...of course it will go straight through them. Hope he pulls through for you fella... I value my little stinkers as equals to my dogs as they are the main providers of sport for them. I don't know anyone who would pay £250 to get one sorted at the vets though But I can assure you,I would if it was one of mine...but I would deffo do my homework 1st and then double check the vet is actually experienced in ferrets and their diseases etc etc. i give mine milky water and it doesn't seem to do them any harm. how can they be lactose

Keep at it mate, maybe try little strips of meat by hand in the run and make her sit up to beg for it. Trying to get her to associate you with the food supply. It works for kits but i've never tried it on a wild adult. Cheers Arry -
