  1. Can be transferred via shoes to , had a place and as you went down the driveway they were leaping in front of you , vhd hit that was that , rang them last season they said wasn't worth going , Yea I know its very contagious trouble is there is a green lane that goes right through the land and horses, cattle, mountain bikes and scrabbling bike all use it then go down other lanes. Im sure that what is spreading it about. We have other perms but this one has some good open ground burrows on it good for training young ferret and we have four new kits to train. Cheers Arry
  2. Just went out over a couple of perms checking for rabbits and foraging for mushrooms. bumped into the farmer who said he had seen some dead ones at the bottom of one field, my heart sank a bit as this was good ground. Walked around a few small pockets but pretty dead really, then my mate put one up and it ran round in small circles and fell at our feet. Put it out of its misery with my thumb stick, didn't want to handle it as I'm sure its RHD. Shame as used have some good sport there. Cheers Arry
  3. If was me mate I would consider two as they like company and it would just as easy to keep two as one. As for feed them raw thats probably the best (best frozen for a week or so to kill off any thing they might be carrying) but I use a combo of dry and raw myself. Nipping and biting is usually down to the lack of handling, the more handling the better. Hope this helps. Cheers Arry
  4. Nice one. Good when you find you got extra ones rather than the other way round. Cheers Arry
  5. September for me as well, open ground burrows and in the woods first and let the hedges die back ( seem to take ages last year ). Every year waiting for the new season I seem to be like a kid waiting for Christmas. Cheers Arry
  6. Catch them up see what you get looks like a nice ferret there. Recon Aussie Whip got it right been dumped. Last year see some dead ones the road by a gate. Think somebody dumped them in the field then they walked back into the road looking for the owner and got flattened. Cheers Arry

Not heard only ,only few last I said on first page.Mind now it's stirred up I suppose bass will be around? thats good because were throwing out a couple of lines for the bass and 1 for the mackerel.best bait to use.? Dunno I normally use feathers/spinnersi meant for the bass.Yeah I mainly lure fish for both ,probably explains why I never catch anything lolI would think either peeler crab, worm bait or mackeral Try half a side of Pout Whiting or live Sand Eel or live joey Mackerel first light close in say 20 yards or so. Good luck. Cheers Arry
  17. never used to eat them my self just gave them them away when i used to do seine netting for salmon. But the lady I used to give them to ask if i would like to try them. She baked them in butter in the oven, they were beautiful guys could not believe it. They have a black lining to there gut which put most people off that all , worth a try. Cheers Arry

  20. Firstly I will say I don't know Brighton, but looking on Google Earth i would find out if you can fish off the outside of the south marina wall at the east end of the beach. Or the harbour wall at Shoreham away to the West end of the beach or the pier in the middle. They look like vantage points to me, Early mornings and say 8pm till dark. Good Luck. Cheers Arry

  25. I remember about 20 years ago my young lad and myself got a couple of gill kits from the same litter, one switch on straight away as was a brilliant worker the other was useless. This one I called Dippy and wanted to get rid of her at the end off the season, I had tried every trick I new to try and switch her on. Well my lad wanted to keep her so I gave in. Anyway we kept trying her she would go ground okay but would not find or shift anything, then one day about half way though the next season put her to ground and holy hell broke lose, a brace flew out. From that day on she was a great littl
