  1. Become a trainer yourself if you can thats where the money is. Bloody CITB used to ripe me off. When it all started to come in I argued with them when they told me I had to have licences for this and that. Asked them if there are no dumper drivers were did they get their drivers from. Luckily I got most licences on granddads rights but every year they invented another licence in the end you needed one just to fart. Out of it now i'm retired but always said training others is the way forward if you can't beat them join them. Good luck mate. Cheers Arry

  5. You won't get any kits till the spring but theres some really good lads on here that may be able to help around that time. Cheers Arry
  6. I would try and go for an early litter April May if you can that way you could be using them maybe November December. A good working line would be good But having said that I once bought some from a country store out let on whim (I just liked the look of them)and they turned out to be crackers. Cheers Arry
  7. Even better then mate. I run 4 jills and my mate has 2 jills. I have 2 quite large 3year old jills sisters its ether they come out or dig with them, the other 2 are sisters this years kits and well pleased and quite small. My mate bry has a good smallish 3 year old and a tiny little pole cat that work very well. Cheers Arry
  8. Nice result for you two new little jills bet your well confident in them now. How about some more pics of them can't really judge the size from the pics. I know thats hard as I tried to take some of mine last week and they won't sit still. Cheers Arry
  9. Right up my street that mate. Getting worried you hadn't posted food for a while thought you had gone on a diet Lol. Cheers Arry
  10. That a good point, I make my own replacement collars, so make up a couple without transmitter on put on let them run around there run no problems when it comes to the real thing. Cheers Arry
  11. Got to be please him on his first time out. Cheers Arry
  12. Green Dragon that black in the second picture is like the ones we normally get if we get one, these are crossed up for many generations I think. Had another today let go a young black one and put another up in a wood, we were about three fields away from the others we caught so there must be quite a few around there. Strange really as we never had any there before. Cheers Arry
  13. Well the population is not doing that well, we must be 30% down on last year, pockets of them some places barren. But on the other hand there are lots of young ones about. It was the markings on those two rabbits I found interesting the ones we catch ever were else are all black. Cheers Arry
  14. Thanks Lads for that much as I thought then. I think we will make a few up and give them ago, when I say we I mean my mate as the base of my thumbs get me feck these days. The main use would be the top of the hedge run nets they should purse twice as fast being pegged at both ends in theory with less chance of snagging crap. The hedges down here range from 3' to about 8' high banks often very thick cover and 5' to 8' wide so a lot of hedge crawling, they flail them in the autumn so we end up with lots of black thorn bit on the ground in the hedge. Some times as the rabbit is pursing up in a ru
  15. Is there a way to edit out a double post? Can a mod remove one if asked? Cheers Arry
  16. Now i've never even seen a Poke net let alone held one. Would they be better that a large purse net for a top of a hedge stop net or run net? Also just from pictures they seem to be a four foot net ringed on both ends with draw cord pegged on both ends with the net just floating between is that right? Cheers Arry
  17. Had few yesterday and a brace of black ones among them, there a bit different than others we catch they are all black. Cheers Arry
  18. I would not feed Pork or Dairy i.e. milk, I also like two jills from the same litter just my own favour. I use quite a large nest box filled with straw and never use hay once again just my preference. Cheers Arry
  19. Flacko I had some salt beef at Christmas and it tasted just like Corned Beef I don't know if its the same thing though. Cheers Arry
  20. On the farm we went ferreting on Sunday it has two small ponds, well the frog were spawning and the row of them croaking you could hear them from 30 meters away there were hundreds of them. So today we were back and I took the camera but there were only about a dozen and only on one pond they must have nearly finished or the strong cold wind was making them keep their head down. Cheers Arry
  21. Its mate will come to your hand soon as well.good luck. Cheers Arry
