Not sure Kanny to be honest I hope British Museum buys it for a fair price. I never sold anything except a scrap little gold watch and I did that local. This is a different kettle of fish. My guess Greg is she or he loses it at harvest time or ploughing as it's in the middle of a field. Gold is gold and aways worth something. Think if you were throwing it it I think you would throw it into a pond or in a river from a bridge. Yeah I hand it in get receipt etc. Officially it then belongs to the Crown. It get assessed if the British Museum want it it get independent valuation and Farmer and myself get half each. If they don't want it it come back to me and I would have to sell it and give the Farmer half. They aim to get it done in 18 months but I know people that have waited three years. That fair FFS. Its no wonder people don't declare stuff. I know lots would just say sky rocket it and say f**k all. For me I will do it the right way. The Farmer and his Father before him have been very good to me. I posted some pictures on signs of spring. A bloody cat from two doors up keeps turning after the ferret kibbles I put down for the Hedgehog. Last night a much bigger cat turn up with strange markings, I've not seen this one about. The normal cat much smaller and he's a big bugger, I've had him a few times Lol. Cheers Arry

Was trying a new program to get a bit deeper and it did but I ended up digging more iron. Dug these interesting old horse shoes that look like they got some age to them. Think they are medieval or post medieval. If any body has more info please tell. Key hole horse shoe. Might try and clean them up. Cheers Arry
