With your Tomatos FD you could put a string with a peg beside the plant tie it to the roof and take a turn around the plant as it grows. If it was me I would not use the sprinkler on tomatoes mate but water from a can so you don't get leafs wet or splashes on the ground that can encourage blight. Will try a take some photos of strings. hope you don't mind me saying. Second early spuds to try Charlot or Jazzy for nice sale potatoes. Cheers Arry -

Down at Beesands again today for Fish and Chip and a walk. Went to the hide at the lake behind the beach Picked up a couple of bird I didn't know on Merlin. First was a "Citte's Warbler" second was a diving bird that was out in front of us called a "Common Loon". Looking out the Hide. Bird you can expect to see at Beesands. Beautyfull day hardly a soul on the beach. Path to the hide. This was a football field with the old clubhouse in the background. No locals left to play now all sold up. Cheers Arry -
I said to Wifey come on let go down to Beesands and have Fish and Chip by the sea. With a fiery Ginger Beer. Cheers Arry

You might have to tie the beans up mate the mesh is a little small for them to climb through. A. bigger mesh with about 6 inch holes would have been better mate. Cheers Arry -
Was given some plants about 5 years ago and didn't really have any space free so stuck them in a scruffy corner. I don't get a lot. Get couple of feeds but the bloody slugs love them. Home grown taste so much better though.. Cheers Arry

Dog trailer, adventure trailer, camping trailer
Arry replied to Mountainandmoor's topic in General Talk
I met a Guy that was camping in a National Trust car park at Prawl Point Devon last year had A rusty tear drop miniature caravan hitch up to a Volvo. He had a biggish dog so I said thats a good idea for the dog. He replied "Me and the Dog". It was just a rusty thing with nothing inside except a carpet I thought he was sleeping in the Volvo and the dog in the mini trailer Lol. Something similar to this. Cheers Arry- 1 reply

Up on Dartmoor again hoping to hear the Cuckoo and see the fields of Blue Bells at Emsworthy Mire. Well Seen and heard the Cuckoo one landed for about two seconds above our head. Blue Bell looks like couple weeks time. Loads of twitchers after photos of the Red Starts and Cuckoos. If anybody is down in a week or two Emsworthy and Halwell lawn will be a mass of Blue Bell. Acres of them. Think this is a Willow Warbler Not very good photo I'm afraid of a Red Start. Few little Thumpers. Couple os ponies in the distance on to -

I find them ok Charts but you don't find any slime or dead one they are supposed to crawl of hind and die. The other thing is I put down wood ash by the hedge where the come from they don't like crossing that till it get very wet. Beer traps are good mind not tried garlic spray, I have read about it. I don't notice any difference mate I just let them go. As long as theres some dung or compost under them they seem to do okay mate. They will need something to climb up mate. Cheers Arry -

Arry replied to JohnGalway's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
Yeah mate you can but they are different now. They are Organic and don't hurt the birds or hedgehogs etc. They don't last very long as well. They are ferris based and you don't find the slugs and snails they go away and die. Cheers Arry -
f**k don't put ideas in my head Lol. Cheers Arry

Bit of a situation today, Wifey and I have been watching the progress and she had started to sit 8 eggs. Only today the hen bird was in distress tangled in wool of some sort around her legs. Well we watch for an hour and she was getting in more of a state as the wool got more and more built up. At this point Wifey is getting more and more worked up say I've got to do something. Bloody hell. So out with the ladder went up put tape over the entrance took the box of the wall put it in a plastic sack and took the lid off. managed to get hold of the Blue tit, christ poor bugger tangled right u
