Im sure the best producing dogs are hard if your alot lads when getin services its nearly always a hard type dog they go for fair enough some might stupid for taken the ateings they do but its that drive that makes alot of them decent producers of pups.

The best bitch i had ta find was nutall/TP cross bitch found and dug in places where alot failed her 2 sisters and a brother of the same litter worked the same way could never get them ta reproduce tho.

Only way to deter these fuckers microchip your dogs freezebrand if ya have to take plenty photos of what ya have more recent the better at least then ya can post them forums like this if you are the unlucky person this happens. Trust nowan always view everyone with suspicion the less helpfull you are with the better dont give anyone the opertunity ta come throw it all back in your face. Just a simple bit of advice lads hope it helps.

We all like the hard dogs ha i only the pleasure of owning 2 a bitch that i lost ta ground at 5 and a dog getn old and grey out in the yard he deserves a good retirement with all good days he gave me. Iv had plenty in the last few years that started of hard but soon became backfill.

A mate of mine bred a litter of first cross border patterdales a few year back a couple of dogs went right well of it and one of the dogs has gone and produced a few decent workers when bred back in to other patterdale bitchs.

There not many genuine lads left at this game very few and far between but theres plenty posers pretenders and wannabes all chasing that name and fame and the notoriety that comes with it.

A lot of pedigree dogs goin missing over here and the ispca and antis are blaming lads for taken them and using them for baiting blooding dogs in for bloodsports as they say just to grab headlines. When its people like this is probably behind it. How wrong they do have it.

Good times id say they were neil people knew how enjoy the days digging and have the craic later. I think nowadays theres to much politics involved and some lads take things to serlously to enjoy the sport anymore its good to hear how it used to be done.

My mates dog and sammy and maggie deserve to be included in this thread they were brother and sister started at 18months and were worked for 9 seasons in to old age they were never spared alot of men and dogs got started by what was dug with these 2 terriers they deserve the title of true legends for the work they done and the amount of game they dug. Take a bow sammy and maggie. Heroes are remembered but legends are forever.

The ones that find and stay till there dug to and dont get pushed around doin this constanly year in year out then ya know ya have good one or great one which ever ya prefer ta class it. If they on to produce many working dogs and bitchs the same then ya call them a legend.

Why dont lads just be a bit more carefull who they sell pups to how many decent bred lurchers and terriers hav been ruined over the years cause they have gotin in to wrong hands may be some lads just want the name and the fame.

All im saying is would not make sense for all fieldsports to stick together against all the tree huggers and so called do gooders cause if they get do get there way we can all say byebye to whatever kind of fieldsports were in to.

Well thats a good enough reason for all those that do hunt with hounds or do terrier work they should make a stand with the coursing clubs cause if they if they get get coursing banned they will try ban all form hunting with dogs.
