It depends what you expect mate. Know plenty of places in the centre for less than £20 a night, but they are pretty horrible....On the other end of the scale go to the Ritz or somthing like this: http://www.carlton.nl/banksMansion/default...FTOKEN=70042284 http://www.booking.com/hotel/nl/victoria.nl.html It shouldn't be too difficult to find a room right now 'Ave fun.....' Really sorry to hear that Socks...a beautifull animal indeed Cheers Eggy

Red AAArmey, Blue AAaarmey...It's not sports (unlike rugby), its a silly (tribal) war substitute and all about big cash£££££££. And you are (the supporters) getting plucked of it in the process (money)...dream on! Proper sports=country sports! Cheers Eggy

My dog loves a bit of cheese now and then. But as part of a diet for pups??? Cheese contains a LOT of salt, and stresses developing kidneys....What would be the result of excess salt later in life?????? Maybe saltless (cottage) cheese would be better Cheers Eggy

couldn 't have put it better myself mate. great life aint it, happy huntin You shouldn't beleive everything that's put out on the internet: for every story/claim there is a counter story/claim and anyone can tell (fabricate) as they please. I certainly wouldn't beleive any "story" put on the web that hasn't any literature (ie scientific) references incorporated into it's text: Made up on the spot springs to mind if none are there! Also who really gives a f*ck what a terrorist organization such as PETA put on the web....they certainly fall in the same league as anti's: PETA=SCUM h

Dont use Vaseline, oil, nail varnish etc.....it allows the dying tick to regurgitate its infectious stomach content (ie Lyme disease) into the dog/ferrets bloodstream! Pull it off with a pair of forceps, tick removal tool or use Frontline preventative http://www.placervillevet.com/tick_remove.htm Cheers Egidius

I Used to eat it a lot and it's very tasty! The nicest way is & raw (lightly smoked) dry-cured & and sliced for on bread: Available in any supermarket but never as good as the horse-butcher (becoming more rare in holland), this one is in Utrecht: Cheers Eggy

Both great (in different ways...) 1. Agnus dei-Samuel Barber (please listen to it ) http://www.schirmer.com/default.aspx?TabId...kId_2874=24241# 2. and of course good old Jimi....My favorite is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5TczkLw2H0 Personal opinion...please don't take any offence:....... the majority of music "by sales" produced in the last ~20 years is "popular" commercial "spin" rubbish..including (loads of) -bands with a 'U' in it  that somehowe still manage to sell their crap right into granny age (ie yeeehaaa....a rolling runt gathers no moooosss....PR ma

The fact that SMACK (heroin/diamorphine) was found in the house of the babysitting grandma says enough about the irresponsibility of these folk.....in reallity it has nothing to do with dogs! Cheers Eggy

Thats very hard since most litters are in summer, and its out of season True paddy but....."Patience is a virtue"....it is IMHO better to check out potential workers well before you are even thinking of getting your pup, or wait a year, get to know true dogmen, see their dogs work, get into the game, then get a pup when the time is right. The likes of Hancock thrive on the demand for a 'fast' dog. (NOT slagging of anyone with a Hancock dog, just slagging of commercial puppy-peddling) Cheers Eggy

The same as Frank...working parents are a 1st, but if it was my personal choice there shouldn't be too much % bull in the cross if you going for mainly bunnies & hares (don't know what the % bull is in the mix you mentioned).... Cheers Eggy

THE BEST......WAR CHIPS (NL..patatje oorlog): chips with tomato sauce containing a lot of medium curry powder, Sate sauce (mix of peanut butter, coconut milk and chilli/garlic/ginger powder (heat in pan over low heat untill smooth), Mayonaise, and a lot of finely chopped onions. (i know it looks/sounds bad, but is DELICIOUS) Cheers Eggy

Just clearing up a misconception: Fat is a important energy source for dogs (humans to a lesser degree), but animal protein, as well as being essential for building/repairing muscles tissues etc (from amino acids of digested protein)...but ........ingested it can also be transformed into 'energy'....this is metabolically done in the 'Urea cycle'....This is the bodies biochemical mechanism to remove nitrogen (this is partially what makes an amino acid an AMINO (NH3)-acid) from amino acids, so it can be converted (into glucose), to be used as energy. The waste product from this con

vets bill was £77 i was expecting it to be about £100 the thing with insurance isnt there a £50 excess. Yes there will always be a ~£50 excess......Not too bad at all £77 for vet stitching it up (we would pay a lot more for that), but insurance is def. usefull when big vet bills (like my last one of £400) come in. Just don't say it's a lurcher/longdog...but a mongrel  when filling in forms. Cheers Eggy

Better safe than sorry I suppose Now get get some insurance (about a £5 a month), because it will happen many many more times. Elma..How much did you pay for the stitches?
-
yeah in my mind i would give it clean now and again but she will keep it clean her self so leave her to it and dont cover it it will heel better with the air getting to it she seem to be doing a good job in keeping it clean THat should heal by itself elma. However don't put iodine on it. Dog will lick it of & it can be very toxic to dogs if ingested. All the best Eggy
