  1. Thanks grant, hadn't thought of that approach. I have a freind with a great retriever who doesn't flinch at gunfire and her and the terrier get on like a house on fire. Cheers.
  2. It's definately used for cattle and sells at a bit of a premium over some standard feeds. There are plenty of nutrients left and smells pretty good. Might make the meat taste a bit boozy, but that's sounds pretty good!
  3. Hi all. Just looking for some practical advice for breaking the terriers to shotgun. I've read conflicting articles on it so just looking to see what has worked for you. Got a young pup I'm just about to start on and I've got it wrong in the past when I've just assumed they will be fine. Cheers.
  4. If you listen to podcasts, check out the hunting dog podcast on iTunes. The guy who hosts breeds bracco's and there is hours of general and specific info on there.
  5. Fair point P&B, it's always a risk. Guess it depends a lot on where you are as well
  6. Sounds like a good start to the season so far. Any pics?
  7. Cheers. He looks like a handy mate to have!
  8. Yep, great pic. What are you using camera wise?
  9. Great looking dog KPS, real stunner.
  10. Hard luck buddy. Very well written.
  11. Nice to see another pat with pricked ears, I was starting to think mine was the only one!
  12. Lovely looking dog mate, all the best with her.
  13. He's a big lad for 8 weeks, gonna be a bruiser! Atb
  14. You planning a litter from this lot in the future willow?
  15. Been here before with a new dog that was great through the day but really unsettled at night. Assuming your not doing anything stupid, sounds like your doing the right stuff so just take your time and it should sort itself out. All the best.
  16. Cracking looking dog. All the best with him.
  17. I can't believe students at Arizona university actually did tests on this!!!
  18. Brilliant info Mango, very much appreciated. Sounds like it was a bit too long ago for my bitch then. Can't say I'm surprised! Cheers.
  19. Christ, that lurched looks immense, what's she got in her?
  20. She looks great Glyn. How old is she and how much does she weigh? Reason I ask is that mine (one previous page) is 11 months and a shade under 18lb. She's pretty leggy but not that stocky, but I had her at an empty earth last weekend and she barely fits! She was from a big litter (9), so I expected her to stay small, but she's now as big as heavy my previous lakeland bitch was in her prime.
