    Dont get me wrong id be disapointed if i knew sommat was in abit of cover and the runner just danced about waiting for a busher. Got 100s of pics and videos of my old dogs breaking ice on lakes to fetch ducks and geese marking birds day and night catching rabbits in and out of gorse but ive never seen a lurcher do it aswell as a terrier and i dont like the thought of of a lurcher swimming and fetching stuff then spending the whole day between cold and running summertime its no issue but wintertime its asking for trouble. also sometimes i dont want to take a running dog.     I got this little bitch with a friend as heard they take a good while to come on but last time i seen it was going very well natural carrier of fur or feather too surprising little dog.

    I dont think with what cockerpoos and other silliness are making there that strong money are they ? Especially for gundog breed i remember when jagds was all the rage 2/3k a dog was nothing and folk couldnt part with there money quick enough most them ended up no good anyhow. The little i know about the pointers id be looking over to ireland they seem to be used in a different way there

    If there really good at it surely any has got the chance to make it ? Just buy ya pup and take ya chance then aint it all im saying is i dont think your best bet is with someone makes a living selling dogs.

    i allways think if you go to any sort of vendor of working dogs there probably buying in cheap where they can knocking some training into it over a couple weeks and cashing for what they can get. If your serious about it id get yaself out there and see with your own eyes dont be fooled by the forced retrieve and barking outside a pen pics.

    I had a dog related to your youngster took the dog everywhere never let me down but he didnt do everything how id seen/expected good dogs to do things. There was times when hed kill stuff in a quick sprint then go through stages of killing 2 fields away. That brain can make them do funny things. If you want a dog for bit of everything need that bull or collie and coursing dog to mix right in my opinion

    Honestly if there bred off stuff with working above in mind and brought on right they shouldnt. If my dog run a fox above and it dropped in imfront of his nose most hed do is mark the hole. If he even thought about going in thats his work done for me. And hes no bayer when he has come across the odd fresh carcase or whatever

    Find the saluki can give a dog abit of style but they aint the allrounder folks try to say they are especially nowadays.
