  1. Nice them really like some of the wooly stuff about best of luck with them
  2. I've had a few of these cordless lamps now out of all them the dl100 is the best one I've used lamped all sorts with it on some fairly big land although me mate who I get out with is on here and he don't think much of it prefer the other cordless one it's horses for courses really it's not something I'd take on a proper night out but does the job for a quick mooch local.
  3. The sapling I have on at the moment doing ok for a first season dog looking forward to this winter with him
  4. Good thread this miss the nights out with a good bull x.
  5. Real nice pup some size and shape knew I'd kick myself for not having one of these lol ?
  6. As said they will be fine
  7. Some really good replies on this but some you will never get right kept saluki hybrids ive had them fairly obedient until I was gifted an older dog proper nutter this thing in the day no matter how long or hard the run he would kill or miss would stand out on the land looking for the next i tried everything with it the only time it was different was running it on the lamp Wernt too bad then but was a waste if I'm honest also this dog had no interest in dummies or treats just loved to run and kill no matter what the cost it wouldn't even acknowledge people me included.best of luck with your pup
  8. Fair play cracking pictures that pups gonna be a lump ?
  9. I like that one aswell Rio is that ramshorn in the handle ?
  10. Something good about seeing lurchers n terriers bring back to hand off the water nice job ?
  11. Got a dog here keeps licking his feet and legs obsessively it's now starting to cuase abit of soreness he's advoceted regularly fed on Arden grange complete with plenty of raw feed well excersised. I've only ever seen this once before on a shepherd and this dog got so bad if it wasn't muzzled would lick the paw down to the bone. Anyone got any ideas what's causing this ?
  12. Have to say I own a brother to this bitch and it's fed the best complete and fresh meat it's not too fussy but still abit light for my eyes mine gets grub put down and he's got 10 mins to clear the bowl if not its picked up no exceptions when he's foods put down he tucks right in ?
  13. Ayup fellers just seeing if there's anyone on here who makes gap nets for hares ? Was given some a few years back but Ive got a feeling I passed them onto someone. I'd appreciate if someone could help me out ?
  14. Got a young dog out of good lamp dog x good day bitch doing ok taken everything upto roe day n night and is a year old next month. I'd be happy to have another to be honest if the good work keeps up ?
  15. Gotta be dogs that smile surely got a dog here that if he's met you once allways smiles if he sees you again still makes me laugh now.
  16. Best of luck with the litter dai though I'm sure you won't need it the bitch is a real eye catcher ?
  17. That dl100 I had off you does the job dai not give it proper stick yet bieng end of season but had a few nights with it really liking it so far I like the width of beam on it can see eye shine out to a good distance n battery life seems pretty decent. Good solid build not like some of the wireless lamps ive seen. Me mate had his wireless lamp out the other night and that dl100 mate it look pointless had to light up his dogs quarry several times really decent bit of kit wouldn't be without one only improvement I could think of is a dimmer ? Thanks again.
  18. just wondering what people expect from there dogs first winter what do you like to see and what puts you off ? Do a lot of lads let there dogs do a few bits or generally just keep them catching easy bunnies ? I know all dogs are different but in an ideal world what signs what you like to see from a young dog before it's a year old ?
  19. I ain't complaining lads got meself a good quality knife from rios posting on this page I'm happy to see good craftsmanship anywhere ??
  20. Fair play tb you've done a good job with that pup. I try to jog my dogs 2-4 days a week I use a long bit of canal near me it's handy if they get abit hot quick rest in the water n there ready to roll again wouldn't fancy jogging my lot on a road n they see a cat lol.
  21. I know what your saying tb lovely time of year to chill out and just take in what's going on ive lost count of the amount of times I've headed out on a spring morning n just sat with dogs leashed up watching there mad antics... Out of all the creatures in our countryside the hares and the songbirds have got to be my favourites.
  22. That bottom pics brilliant cocker fair play ?
  23. I've seen some good dogs that are half greyhound i own a dog that's over half greyhound in fact and without sounding boastful any dog with the tally he has would have a real proud owner. Don't get me wrong if I had a decent bitch I wanted a pup or 2 from her i doubt a grey for me would be top of the list but I do feel there abit underrated at times me dads had pures n run them on all sorts not an accident waiting to happen like some think. best of luck with the offspring from this mating?
  24. Had some good fun with a collie lurcher when I was a lot younger and enjoyed some good productive nights with the bull greyhounds,But for what I enjoy wich is daylight running of big rabbits and hard long nights on the lamp on stony arable lurcher with a good bit of saluki without doubt
