Arctic there's a litter I been keeping an eye on bred similar there not far off a year old now and they are proper pictures of dogs big strong things that have a good gallop in them. Deffo breeding I'd like to try think there be handy for long nights running from the motor. Yer gaz he abit lightly built like most coursing blood a lot stronger than he looks. He's had some stick but that's how I like to do things get a dog out early he was brought on with a dog that was very good in the day and just naturally started finding and catching in the day. Anyone who thinks it's done him harm pm m -

Dunno whether he performs to the standard of some of the old dogs but my dogs lurcher blood to a line bred coursing bitch. Quite happy with him hes not perfect could do with more wind doesn't take a knock well but he does catch a good bit best I've done with him is 4 from 6 had a few 3s real good at tracking deer whether on fields or through woods had a few sets of teeth single handed tho I don't reckon he'd do numbers on em. Handy dog not top class but handy enough to keep me getting out. Had some stick and game for his age I think. There's a few lads seen some of his catches he's about 18 mo -
Lol did he tell you about his waiting list n that you don't chose the pup he'll choose it for you ? Guys a character for sure

Could be wrong I've allways been told not to feed too much heart I've seen a litter of lurchers reared on nothing but hearts tripe n the odd leg bone every dog out of the litter went into break bones man told me that bred them heart contains something that stops dogs using calcium making there bones and teeth weak if fed too much.

I'd agree with this somewhat if you want a dog to put game in the bag or whatever then there's others out there that are better. obviously I'm not saying everyone drop your lurchers off at the dog pound and buy a staff my mates got lurchers Aswell but if you've a staff or any breed for that matter why not get it out in the field ? Look at fujis pom to see a wee dog like that out with lurchers puts a smile on my face everytime. Btw the talk of hole ending etc those days are long gone around here trail cams on earths ect I can honestly say I wouldn't let a dog into quarry wich didn't have a ch

My good mate who's on here had 2 proper working staffs mother and daughter he's only got the one now but I've seen those 2 little dogs prove themselves over and over again ad I'm no fan of the staff but these are a different kettle of fish real little machines seen them catch bolted rabbits kick up hares for the lurchers do most things actually. There's a few things I could say about them 2 that probably shouldn't be on an open forum but those who've seen em know the craic ?
