Had a walk out today with peter, the first wood some roe broke, my saluki x was onto one ran it across the field and down a hedge, he was gone for 10 mins and we eventually got him back with a few arse end quills on him... The last set of woods of the day produced a feral cat, and a nice roe doe, me working the wood and peters dog ben doing the business, dropping it inches away from another wood..

I find its handy to have a mount or clip on the battery itself when walking, so you can slot the lamp in and have your hands free. Also think about wattage a variable controller will help prolong battery life when needed...

Having dogs I obviously prefer to course them, but when that many are shot theres clearly a serious pest problem on the area of land, shame in my eyes they had to be shot, but if they wanted rid they would go one way or the other anyway... Its all hunting...albeit extreme

Out of the members who feed complete feed, what do you prefer to use? I normally just mix meat (chicken/rabbit/beef/hare/deer/) in with my complete using Dr Johns , just bought some masters working dog, give it a try, they'd ran out of the cheap stuff...
