  1. @Greyman has to walk this distance every day to empty his bin . With your support For as little as a £1 a month we could help greyman by floating his barge closer to the bin so he doesn't have to walk as far in the terrible conditions he endures . Please please help .

  3. You feed 1lb a day for every month of age up to 6m/6lb. Got the pigs at 2m so roughly.... 3rd month 3lb day = 90lb 4th month 4lb day = 120lb 5th month 5lb day =150lb 6th month 6lb day = 180lb So 540lb feed. Pig nuts in 25kg sacks roughly 55lb so say 10 sacks feed. I pay £12.50 a sack so £125 feed per pig to get at 2m and cull at the end of the 6th month. I had 3 pigs this time: £165 for the weaners £375 in feed £300.90 slaughter and butcher (that included £150 for sausages) Total £840.90 I didn't actually spend this much because

  4. No mains power yesterday and overnight. Lots of trees down and lorries blown over on the M6 near Scottish border. Fortunately I have a generator as we often lose power supply. Unfortunately I picked up two, waifs and strays from the cottage down the road. Two ladies in their late 80s. I went to check on them and brought them back to ours. One of them was with it and good company, the other has dementia. She insisted on smoking in the house and moaning non stop. Normally I would be strict and ask her to smoke outside but since there were 90mph wind gusts, I couldn't. House stinks of tobacco smok

  5. One of my odd lil hobbies is cruising though pawn shops. Usually don't buy a ton really it's just you always seem to find some interesting stuff in these places. Neat old tool, good guns, bows ,old fishing gear , electronics ect.. Anyhow was waiting for my wife to get off work so she could pick me up from dropping of my work rental so popped in in my regular one just look around and annoy everyone. After a bout three hours this are the lil odds and ends I thought where neat. First off ,a bolt action 16ga internal mag shotty. Made by J C Higgins and they only wanted $200 for it

  13. Know what. It is a pleasure to make proper food and have it acknowleged by friends in an environment which sadly we appear to be losing. The other week I had a go at Cornish pasties and on a regular basis I make a variety of pies using my own pastry. The lads and lasses really enjoy which is heartwarming. Just had a text from my friend who managed a fallow, roe and fox on Wednesday. Don’t think Reynard would go down too well but as for the other two, I have plans. I have started using Skirt beef for quite a few dishes which to be honest has opened my eyes. Quite expensive but hey ho. Last week

  24. I can remember my dad having a bolt action .22 rifle. I don't think you even needed a firearms licence back in the 50s. He used to take off on a weekend on a motor bike, and come back Sunday day with all sorts: moorhens, coots,( quite tasty) hare, rabbit and anything else he could come across, like farmers hens and ducks. Once he came back with a sheep lol. He would sell some and we would eat some. He was a skilled snarer of rabbits and hares and general survivor. I remember one Christmas we were flat broke. Christmas Eve, I was 5., I heard a commotion and got up hoping I would spy Santa. It

  36. The CIA may have their own records, but I think the documents that Trump is releasing are the 5 million pages that are held in the National Archive and Records Administration, which are records like the Warren Commission Report, The House Select Committee Report, the Assassination Board Review, etc. Many have already been released over the years. Will we learn anything new or earth shattering ? I doubt it. Cheers.
