Thanks for all the likes and comments people, much appreciated… After yesterday we decided to have a chilled out day, spent a cracking 4/5 hrs in Portmeirion and then went wild swimming in Llyn Padarn lake (Llanberis) - now gonna have a nice ice cold pint and a glass of vino for the Mrs ?

I had a brilliant weekend guys thanks for making me feel welcome. Met some lovely people, caught some fish and enjoyed the free bbq and beer every night. Feeding again today and it was bloody hot, the birds are looking fantastic, ( I keep thinking something will go wrong) they have done a pallet of feed in 3 weeks, they have slowed up in Gordon’s pen but they are out around the back of the pen filling there faces with brambles, I’ve still only had 2 dead in one of the pens and one of them got itself stuck in the wire, it’s made a massive difference with us having 3 weeks of dry weather since they went in, fingers crossed they keep going the way they are ?

Well after a trip to Cumbria & back Myersbg was true to his word & it was a hard choice but the merle made the journey back to North Devon with us, has settled in well & pinched the Terrier's bed. To be honest I would have been happy with any one of the pups, they were in great condition & Myersbg has done a great job rearing them. Thanks again Brian ?

Speaking from personal experience? I've never read a book that explains a bitches cycles. Nor have I ever gambled. I've built my big dog a cage I'd be happy to pit against a leopard. It all bolts together. Then breaks down for flat pack storage. I put it up, in this room. And in there he goes, the minute he's starting to follow the bitch. And there he stays, until he shows no earthly interest in her. Or her in him. I've never counted days. Honestly haven't a clue about all that stuff. I just watch my lot like a hawk and act according to what I observe. Never come close to a fukk

10 to 14 the most common time for a bitch to be fertile and mated its not uncommon for a bitch to be earlier or later even up to 21 days.thing is remember the dog knows best.

i was always led to believe 15 days was their most fertile.

I was heavier handed when I was younger and would stress out if the dogs weren’t doing what I wanted day time , but Iv chilled out a lot and realised they know better than me , also they live with me now instead of my uncles yard so have a much better working bond and I can keep a close eye on any knocks , they spend a lot of time knocking around the house aswell
