I have to say, this attempt to ram normalisation down my throat every time I switch on the telly boils my piss. Every f***ing programme has some darkie cast in a role they have no business being in!........they have totally given up trying to be subtle about it or even worrying about context.....they just ran it in there ! I watched this new Worzel Gummidge with the kids yesterday and sure enough, it’s two half cast urban kids on the farm......yeah, of course it is ! Not content with that, there’s a tree festooned with carrier bags (for no reason whatsoever) and Worzel proceeds18 points

Have not had a walk out with my lad and is dog for a long time. Just back in after a couple of hours with them nothing heavy just a steady amble and a natter. Nothing much about to speak of but the dogs had a bit of exercise and we were happy to watch them feck about. Enjoyed spending a bit of time with him not that i would tell him lol11 points

A nice mornings ferreting, trying out the new long nets. Unfortunately only one hit the nets, but it certainly caught it. The rest were either dug to or purse netted.9 points

this bitch here was only about 1/8 collie she was out of chuck arrowsmiths collie she done very well for me day/night an didn’t lack in the stamina department The collie in there being 1/8 was still highly potent in the mix I think the problems with lack of stamina is down to people keep adding straight greyhound as a easy fix rather than racy bred lurcher to try an prep things up but end up loosing to much per generation adding straight greyhound I’m a believer in type breeding I believe that after you get to 3 quarter bred straight greyhound shouldn’t be added as a continuation on it should8 points

She may off had a bad day, if it never happened before I wouldn't right her off just yet, nobody knows what happens under the ground, they are not machines, like ourselves they can have an off day7 points

I think you deliberately misunderstand. Its a fair call in a story line set in 15th, 16th or 18th century England to say that the lord chancellor probably isn’t going to look like Lenny Henry I’m a ruff isn’t it......you know, some brother out the hood isn’t going to be having port in London gentleman’s club in 1758 or telling Queen Victoria what’s what about world events. It just isn’t going to happen. You Know, set something in 1977 London, give him a big Afro and make him a dustman.....yeah, fine, that works.....it’s not out of the realms of probability. An old fella who lived round the corner. Had lurchers from when he was a kid to his death as a old man. A proper one for the pot man. The dogs caught for the table.5 points

I've just put my jrtxwhippet over my patterdalexspringer. I'm not sure the pups, if the mating even takes, can really be called lurchers but I'm hoping for some fast and driven mooching dogs. The russellwhippet is 13 now and is probably the best dog I've owned, I've wanted to breed from him for a long time, so long in fact that I may have left it too late. I was originally thinking of a whippet bitch but circumstances ment that never happened so I took the opportunity with the bushing dog. We shall see that happens . . . .5 points

Yea I hear ya, and not trying to knock ya lad. Was just pointing out why most won't chance being associated with someone they don't know and therefore don't trust. It's hard for anyone new to the game for sure, but there are reasons why lads with good breeding don't get involved with people they don't know. Anyway, hope you succeed in your endeavour?5 points

my take on it is this.....the owner of the pup has a plan in his/her head to do certain things with the youngster, so,rear it best you can ,introduce it to the tasks you want from it GRADUALLY and then in 2 years or so if its worked its been a success,if it doesnt ,well your going to have to start again,..for me ,i just ignore the snide ,stupid ignorant comments of anyone that has a bitter streak in them ,they wont suit some folk ,lets hope they DO suit the new owners or is been a wasted journey, its a risk you take with any young up and coming pup,ive had disappointments in the past ,no doub5 points

Took a walk this gloomy morning with the 22, mainly to shoot some more of that dodgy Remington ammo off! Leisurely walking into the wind down the side of some scotch a squirrel broke cover, fortunately the ammo worked and my dog went and did her thing which usualy involves chewing and growling. When she was done and came back without the squirrel I encouraged her to go and fetch it and to my amazement she did, ok not to hand or feet but never the less out of the cover. It was when we resumed our walk that a pheasant up ahead started cocking up! A term I use to describe their ala4 points

I dont like mine, he gets beat up off jack russells, eats any chicks that get out, robs my shoes all the effin time and has now realised that when my hens start clucking theyve made a tasty little snack and he always seems to take a shit where i walk. But bar that hes grand, different to what im used to but variety is the spice of life so they say, already putting a lot of older dogs to shame with his scenting ability, no speed machine but i knew he wouldnt be. Bit sensitive as well but living with me isnt easy so i forgive him for that4 points

My main working bitch is mostly sight hound with grey saluki being predominant and she will work day and night 7 days a week and will drag herself of off her bed if she thinks there’s work to be done. Obviously you better your chances by breeding And entering right but I think a lot to do with how much a dog will put in is down to that dog and how much it wants to work. I would happily graft this bitch against any dog on any terrain over any amount of time and be very confident she will still be working when others have fallen away.4 points

Exactly, I don’t smoke anymore , haven’t done for the past 30 years , don’t drink every weekend now , don’t spend thousands going to watch England home and away any more , but do enjoy shooting again and off road cycling so I will spend my HARD EARNED money on what I want and don’t give a fcuk what others think .3 points

They are everywhere wilf. The wife watches emmerdale and coronation street. They are rammed with bummers. And.lickers.and now the Pakis and Muslims are making an appearance. Best bet is ignore all of it ? And there is a queer thing in 1 of them programmes. Who wants the hole sewn up and a knob stitched on Or the knob cut off and an hole bored into it. And today's young kids are watching that shit. The same as the BBC telling them kids that there is 100 gender type people. It's all part of the brainwashing3 points

Yes, plus the fact that he's a blind stranger to most. A man would like to know where his pup is going. That the pup would be given the best chance to make the grade, and also that it won't get moved on for money, or any other reason.3 points

Noticed a wood of mine bursting with squirrels yesterday so went back today with my 99. Took a photo of eight but went on to get 23. I used a mixed bunch of pellets I got recently from a shop. Separated the shot, 17&22 pellets weeks ago but as I knew ranges were going to be low I just grabbed a hand full. On the way back I had a major plink, think I shot 200 pellets today and I was knackered, that's a lot of cocking! Any way it was good to be out with an air rifle again. Next to no pellets passed through and bisley pest control give no expansion at sub 12.2 points

That was a one off lads ,just for xmas, a honest working bitch, first and last, she like myself doesn't need publicity to say she can do a job, never see Pic from me again, thl when I joined was a good forum but lately it attracted people who only want to drag someone down or ruin a good thread. I have met and been in contact with with some good people over the years because of thl and enjoyed a lot of the threads on it but because of certain people I stopped posting on here and went again, I wish everyone a happy and prosperous year and keep working them dogs before its too late .2 points
