Tis TM 8
Is the 5'th one down a gold eagle? I love his fixed frown ... they are stunning pictures Dawn, such magnificent birds warrent shots like that! ... Not sure I adore the vulture too much though!
Dawn B 212
Thank you TisTM, you are correct, numbers 5 and 6 are Golden Eagles. The Bald Eagle is MUCH bigger, I was surprised.
BlueCoyote 0
amazing detail on those we have an adult bald eagle and a youngster at the local wildlife zoo not far from me. but tell you what i saw on a few occasions at my house...... was outside with my two kids when the ducks went crazy, running for cover, then a shadow passed over - figures it would be around sundown - but there was no mistaking that it was a bald eagle flying over my house.... i was the only one to see it though happened again a few weeks later.. again i was the only one to see it. everyone said it was probably just a vulture. but just last week my husband was coming home from work while two eagles flew overhead... no mistaking them at all that time!! i have only seen them in the wild on two occasions, and that was once when i was a kid and once when i was in the national forest. so i'm a little stoked to see them in my own neighbourhood that is... until they start eating goats or ducks.... then i might not be so happy...
