airedale lurchers

Hi guys I am new to the forum and was thinking about getting this cross early next year, does anyone have any experiance with this cross or even ever seen one? They used to be popular years ago I am told, any pics would be great.

theres a lad around here that has a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 airedale, it's looks just like a bull/greyhound, i dont know anything about its working ability though

have seen pics from a american staghound to an airedale, bloody impressive looking dogs, the blokes name was eggy, not sure if he is on here, he was on the EDRD forum, which is one of the places ive seen his pics

an amaizing amount of staminar and work rate is stunning

but no great speed but the nose on this bitch is outstanding

she will air sent and ground sent

she struggles on the lamp due to her wanting to use her nose so is best worked during the day

it took me a bit of time to get her right as she was a rescue

and i f****d up a bit with her (started her to soon) but we got there in the end

Plenty of airedale type lurchers over here in Australia around Ballarat. Popular with the fox hunters where there is a bit of cover. Most of these lines have the original jack russell cross greyhound blood diluted in their makeup.

i had airdale first cross years ago and he had a good nose and plenty of power to kill and pull but very fast
