Tiff 36
I was working down at an old folks home last week and thought this was a nice thing to have for the residents to watch the birds ...
Tiff 36
closer up. There were about 6 different pairs in the one cabinet. (I'm not sure what to call it, is it considered an Aviary even though it was inside?)
moxy 617
Thats very smart, certainly would control the mess being behind glass. How was it ventilated? and could you hear the birds sing?
Tiff 36
I tried to get a pic of the ventalation in the cieling of it, the white grate had lights and I could hear a very low fan running, I guessed to draw air up and out, with sucking fresh air from below? I just had not ever seen anything like it, there was a tag at the top of the cabinent that said something like "Custom Bird Cabinets by Fred" or something like that? Yes you could hear them if you were within about 10 feet of it, I had walked by it several times but never knew what the noise was because it just looked like a curio cabinet unless you really LOOKED at it. Tiff 36
they all seemed perfectly happy, some were nesting, others collecting threads for their nests... maybe when they first were put in they flew at it?
